Bayern winning 1-0 now due to a Robben goal.

2-0 to Bayern now, a last minute Muller goal, and that is the double sealed for them.

I'm very happy for Atletico Madrid - for a moment it seemed like their season would be Leverkusen 2002 all over again. But alike at home to RM, away to Chelsea, and now today when they were down a goal (admittedly it was a fantastic goal) they dug in, and produced the goods. Good luck to them for the CL Final.

I've read Ronaldo and Benzema will be fine for the CL, so it seems not all the injured players are out for the CL. Costa however, looks to be - hamstring injuries tend to take a minimum of three weeks to heal - I hope he's not out for the WC. So, Martino's left Barca - Luis Enrique has a bit to do to return Barca to their best.

Congrats to Bayern, Dortmund seemed rather flat today. Hummels' goal went over the line but it was offside anyway. Bayern were the better side, created more chances, and took their chances. Lahm is apparently 'okay' after his injury worry.

Just noticed that neither San Siro side is in the Top4. [Only Top 3 enter the CL now]

From reading about it seems that Milan's number 98, Mastour, their latest "wonderkid" only made the bench, and didn't come on.

Mixed reactions really for a few. On one hand it's missing out on money for both in terms of the CL, though Inter will be in the Europa League. On the other hand, it gives AC a chance to continue to try to rebuild without too many side distractions. Can focus on the league and try to sort out the issues they've got at the club right now. Right now it's probably best for Italian football in general that neither of them actually made the CL for next season. Juventus, Napoli and Roma are good representatives going into next season, it'll obviously come down to the draw as usual but I'd fancy them all to do pretty well and expect much more from Juventus especially. Benitez will want to build on his European performances and it'll be pretty good and at the least quite interesting to see Roma back.

Also confirmed today that Conte with still be at Juventus next season. No surprise for me and never expected him to leave despite a growing amount of rumors. Great news for Juventus.

Agreed, he has done a great job there. Hopefully next season will see a better run in the Champions League, they have made slow starts the last couple of seasons and that has cost them, a bit like Man City. They are due a good run.

I was just reading Zlatan's book, and it got me thinking, how many league title's would people say he has won? 11 or 9? Do those two wins with Juve count or not, seeing as they were officially revoked?

They count to Juve fans and I'm sure to Zlatan Joking apart, I know the Italian FA had to take action against Moggi, but always felt that Juve won those 2 fair and square as they were the best team. Plus there was an incident where Milan won the league that made me go hmmm - Juve had to win away, and the ground was waterlogged. Ball wouldn't even bounce. Collina made them play and it was a 0-0 draw (I think). Always wondered about that one. Italian football....
Anyhow Juve's latest scudetto means they do get the stars on the shirt.

Yeah it is a similar thing to when Marseille "won" the Champions League, and then had it stripped from them, thus confusing the question of has Desailly won back-to-back Champions Leagues with two different clubs or not (Marseille and AC Milan)?

Personally, I go with the same thing as the Zlatan case, he has won them all, but the club has not, if that makes any sense?

On a different topic, good to see Deportivo back in La Liga!

Congratulations to them, my first thought of them is always Donato!

He seemed to be there for ever!

Just saw that Filipo Inzaghi has named as the new coach of AC Milan in place of Seedorf

Is he the guy that Sir Alex said was born offside .😄

Antonio Conte has quit as coach of Juventus.

I didn't see that coming!

Should be an interesting few days coming up revealing more details on it. Reports were linking a fall out quite a while back funnily enough, didn't really buy into them too much at the time but every possibility it's continued behind the scenes and somethings eventually pushed it over the edge. He actually left Bari after transfer issues and quite a lot indicates that's quite likely been an issue for this one too.

He should be able to walk into a top job quite easily, possibly the national side right now. Massive loss for Juventus though and I'd genuinely be worried by the links to Mancini and Allegri if I was a fan. They've lost Conte and there's every chance they'll lose one of if not both of Pogba and Vidal in the next season or two. Ultimately the incredible midfield they've built could be torn apart quite soon.

Has Cannavaro been confirmed as the assistant coach for Real Madrid yet?

Just read about Conte. Surprised about that but as mentioned he could certainly get another top job and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him take over the National Team position.

Juventus have to start making progress in Europe though. Sure they've dominated Serie A for the last couple of seasons but last season was pretty disappointing by first exiting the Champions League at the Group Stage and then not winning the Europa League when they were clear favourites to do so.

It would be nice to see Pogba and Vidal stay at least another season to see if Juve can do something in the Champions League this season. Obviously if they don't then they'll both likely look to move elsewhere but would be interesting to see what happens.

Also will be interesting to see if Juve go for a big name or give an up and coming coach the chance to lead the team.

Conte clearly wants the Italy job. He wouldn't be the worst choice in the world.

Prandelli must be feeling a bit gutted right now, if only he had waited a few extra days, he might have been one of Juve's best options as a replacement, as the other options mentioned, are not exactly inspiring choices from which to chose from.

Speaking of ex-Real players, what about the guy who is set to be their B team manager? Who also just happens to be an ex-Juventus player, would Juve consider Zidane as Conte's replacement I wonder?

Why not just say 'Zidane', for Christ's sake? Why the need for the lengthy pre-amble?

As for the answer to your question, only if Juventus are mental.

They don't, but you're talking about Zidane. Everyone knows who he is, and what he's done. The superfluous description of him just seemed tortured, to me.
