No chance that Messi will leave Barcelona, in my opinion.

Agreed. If it's really a case of Messi and Enrique not getting on, Barcelona are hardly going to chose to keep Enrique and send Messi packing.

I wonder how long it is before Guardiola eventually ends up back there. I'm certain he'll go back one day.

I agree, regarding Enrique. If Messi just can't stomach him, then he'll get the boot.

There just isn't any other way for this to happen. Virtually no club could afford to sign him, and stay within the FFP structure. Not to mention that Barcelona obviously can't buy any kind of replacement for 18 months.

I never even considered that aspect! Yeah, there's no way this will happen.

Any club he would go to would just be a downgrade as well. Barcelona, Real Madrid and possibly Bayern Munich are a level above everyone else in terms of stature at the moment.

Munich would be the only possible option, in my opinion. He'd never go to Madrid.

Bayern could possibly do it and remain FFP friendly, and they have Guardiola which might be a pull for Messi.

Regardless, as you say, it's not going to happen.

If there's a falling out between the best player in the world (or second if you like, whatever) and a coach who seems to be the latest on a conveyor belt, I can't see the coach doing too well out of it.

For a start, what sort of wages would Messi be asking or looking for in any potential move??

Those alone would make any transfer neigh on impossible, nevermind the silly transfer fee!

I know it is, hence why I was asking about his wage demands in any potential transfer, he would most likely want an upgrade on his current deal at Barca, and so hence that would put him out of the clutches of 99% of the clubs in the world, could Bayern afford them, I am not so sure, even we I think would struggle to match his potential demands.

I just don't see him leaving Barca in the short-term, that is my honest view.

It's 'nigh'. The word that you've used is the sound that a horse makes.

It was a joke.

I certainly think if there is a rift, Enrique won't last furlong.

Agree. Messi has to stay for the club to remain stable.

Precisely. If you're the manager of Barcelona, and you fall out with Messi, there's no way that you can remane.

Him leaving would be their worst night mare.

Anyway, I'm sure it's nothing. Just the press trying to stirrup trouble.

I can't tell who's mocking who now, so I think it's time to call a halter all this nonsense.

PSG 2-0 up in 20 minutes, but still find a way to get beat 4-2, Blanc must be fearing for his future there, the owners haven't spent a fortune to finish second or third!

No, they haven't. But lets see how far they get in the Champions League. They've had enough League title success in recent years to soothe them.

Lacazette at it again so far today, scored both goals to put Lyon 2-0 up over Toulouse at half-time; Lyon will go top of Ligue 1 if they win today.

The Derby della Capitale was quite a game earlier - Lazio went 2-0 up in the first half, with Felipe Anderson running the show and looking like he warranted Sinisa Mihajlovic's comments comparing him to Ronaldo. Second half was a different story though, Roma's promising young striker Francesco Totti scoring with two pretty stunning finishes.

I didn't like how he celebrated by taking a 'selfie'. Still trying to be hip with the kids, grandad?

I didn't mind that myself, it's nice to see players having a bit of fun with their goal celebrations! Was it Florenzi that ran into the crowd to give his grabby a kiss earlier this season for Roma?

Lyon 3-0 up now, Nabil Fekir this time - one interesting little factoid from this game; of Lyon's starting 11, 8 were produced through their academy. I wonder how much emphasis is put on the youth development side of things at PSG?

Ligue 1 looks to be really quite fascinating this season.

Lyon are about to top the league with another great performance, especially from Lacazette, and you have Lyon, Saint-Etienne, PSG and Marseille all right there in the title picture.

If Monaco beat Bordeaux later on then they're arguably right in the title race too. Five teams competing for the league would be really interesting to see in Ligue 1 this season.
