The Barca 1st goal and the 4th goal were incredible. The first especially - every outfield player touched the ball with that goal.

Loved what busquets done at kick off. Bale came steaming towards him and Busquets so calmly just side steeped with a little drag back.

When Barca are on there really is no team like them. An amazing side to watch!!!

Some fans near me got up, shared what I presume was their friends hands and left when it went to 0-3, and that was at the very start of the second half!
How did these people share hands? You mean they started holding hands? Or were they eating hands and were sharing fingers?

I think Madrid like last season have a problem with Kroos. His a very good player but I'm not convinced he can play how Madrid want him to. His no Alonso.

Real Madrid press conference called for this afternoon so there's inevitable speculation that Benitez could be sacked. After two defeats. What an insane way to run a football club.

Perez sees Barcelona's tremendous success in the last decade but shows no signs of learning anything from it.

Surprised if they sack him. More likely a vote of confidence but why stage a press conference for that.

Not gone yet...

Give it a week or two though.

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has been told he retains the club's full backing following the 4-0 home defeat by fierce rivals Barcelona.

Benitez, 55, was only appointed in the summer, but fans chanted for him to be sacked after Saturday's match

Following a board meeting on Monday, club president Florentino Perez said: "He has all our support and confidence.

"Rafa has only just started his job here. Let him keep working and he will achieve his obejctives."

If Rafa does go, I wonder who they will go for next?

Really? Do you mean as a permanent next manager or just as a caretaker?

Zidane is said to be favourites, Sky Bet have him as favourite to be their next manager. I look forward to Zidane and Pepe having headbutting sessions with each other every other week.

I don't think Rafa will be sacked yet though. I think like Mourinho he'll be safe as long as Real Madrid is still in the Champions League. Not that that would save either Rafa or Mourinho the following season, as both clubs have demonstrated in the very recent past.

It's like Giggs with United, they seem to be grooming him to be manager at some point.

I guess so, I just don't see Zidane as the managerial type.

I think it would be a very poor choice to give him the job.

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will be able to play for Barca from January onwards.

They want Zidane to be their Pep, but although Pep had issues to deal with when he came in, he at least had the consistency and reliability of the Barcelona system and philosophy behind him. That doesn't exist in Madrid.

No, he got the badge earlier this year. Was a bit surprised they still went with Benitez.

If you appoint a manager who either isn't popular or isn't deemed good enough he will get no slack from the fans. I'm not even slightly surprised that Real fans are calling for the head of Benitez. He was fighting a losing battle from day one.

Zidane would be an interesting choice. Would have everyones respect instantly that's for sure.

Appointing a high profile ex-player of the calibre of a Zidane, very rarely pays off in terms of management, it is a far more risky route than going for a proven manager.

It would be a huge gamble. A lot of pressure for Zidane going up against this current Barcelona side.

Pep was a risk when appointed but guardiola to me if anything is a once in a generation coach. You don't just find another guardiola.

It is probably a no, but does anyone know if the Club World Cup will be broadcast on UK TV?

Their kicking battle will be just as good.

Zidane apparently doesn't fancy the job just yet. He's coaching the B team or something.
If he comes in and doesn't do well, how does Perez sack Zidane? He'd have to resign himself
