How's Burke doing? I know he scored a few weeks ago. Has he contributed a decent amount overall?
Got a couple of assists too but think he is mainly a sub.

Still very young and no doubt playing in a team with such form will only help his confidence (unlike when with Scotland!)

Klinsmann has been sacked.
Bruce Arena seems to be amongst the favourites to replace him.

I just meant from winning that particular match with somewhat relative ease, to not winning at all now (I know a different stadium, different season etc).

PSG seem to be missing a certain Swede this season.

Juve have just notched up their 24th consecutive home win in Serie A.

One more would equal their record. That game is against Roma.

Surprised no one mentioned this.

Slightly less flawed than the original plan but three team groups could easily end up like the infamous West Germany-Austria qualifier with teams in the last game making sure both of them go through.

I see a Colombian centre forward has scored a hattrick today for Monaco, perhaps we should look at him......oh hang on!

Real Madrid 1-2 Deportivo

10 mins to go.

Zidane decided to rest Ronaldo AND Benzema AND Bale(injury) AND Modric AND Marcelo.

Real Madrid only have two more matches this month (2 mickey mouse world club cup games) and don't play again till January, so why they need resting for I have no idea.

The two times Barcelona incidentally left out both Messi and Suarez at home the results were:

Barcelona 1-2 Alaves
Barcelona 0-0 Malaga

Perhaps people should stuff mucking about with squad rotation. If necessary, rest one key player (e.g. Messi, but keep Suarez) but not everyone at the same time ffs.

Cyprien of Nice has just hit an absolute screamer of a free kick to put them 1-0 up away at PSG.

Nice would go 7 points clear of PSG if they win.

Yeah, I hope he carries on his good form, especially in the Champions League!

Yeah anyone who think Monaco will be an easy tie for City, will be in for a bit of a shock, as Monaco are looking very good currently.
I would back them over two legs to beat City, it would be great in a small wee way if the so called flop put them out!

That would only be true if both managers asked him to fall over every five minutes. I'm glad he's doing well now but claiming that it was those managers' fault is like saying that Torres was mismanaged by Hodgson, Dalglish, Ancelotti, Villas-Boas, Di Matteo, Benitez and Mourinho because he improved when he went back to Atletico.

I doubt there's anyone who thinks Monaco will be an easy tie, it'd be a tad bit strange odd to think, as such.

great goal from Higuain last night and good to see Dybala back - stunning dribble set up a goal. Torino unlucky to lose 3-1 for sure. Joe Hart played really well. Great moment before the game, when Buffon went up and embraced him and pinched his cheek in the tunnel. I am really going to miss Gigi Buffon when he retires. Great keeper, great bloke.
