Hey,

In case you are interested the Raspberry Pi will be available for purchase tomorrow at 6am for $25 here http://www.raspberrypi.org, with an initial run of 10000 units.

If you don't know what it is:

he Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.

They're making an announcement at 6am. They may launch the sales, but were going to announce sales to the mailing list. Nothing has reached my inbox, so my assumption (and a few on the raspi forum) is that they'll announce the launch date tomorrow.

They seem to have a big deal about the time so I'm gonna be up just in case.

a lot of people on hotukdeals are assuming it's going on sale as well.

i think i want one

i guess on a basic level you could set it up as a 'smart' media streamer, obviously with the software and codecs .. and probably an IR sensor to allow for a suitable remote.

installing a HDD to make it a full blown media centre might be a bit more involved

I have a jail broken apple TV that plays everything, I just want one to mess about with for fun lol

I'm only getting a 'register your interest' page, which the RasPi twitter account says is the wrong page

edit... the team are on to it. They arent impressed that they are seeing the interest page rather than the actual page...
