Sat here waiting for the delivery man to arrive... I hope it'll arrive this morning, the day will drag if it doesn't arrive until this afternoon.
Same here....I have my 10 month old to look after this morning....so a late morning arrival would be good so I have the rest of the day with it.

I suppose at least we're not having to queue up outside an Apple Store for hours on end with only a possibility of getting an iPad at the end of the queue.

See, now I've never understood that..I know some might say it the whole experience but it's just not for me. I'd rather wait a few more hours and be in the comfort of my house.

I've already updated the apps that needed it for the retina display...should be well worth the wait!

Check the UKMail site: https://www.ukmail.com/ they seem to be the actual couriers. I think Syncreon are just the middle man.

On the UKMail site, type in the Apple Tracking Number (beginning with 8) into the Reference Number search.

Screen is awesome much better than expected,

Extra weight compared to my iPad 2 hardly noticeable.

Existing case fits iPad 3

Battery good

No light bleed

No yellow tinge.

Happy as larry

Based on where the depot is, and where I am, I figured it might be either early, or late. It hasn't been early, so it may closer to 6pm here. Bum.

Those memory reports are a bonus for Apple.
It is even more so crying out for an SD memory slot even if it's perfection is again claimed.

Interestingly if they all have the same battery included battery life will be mega. If not eventually when the software is more sorted

Hurry Up!!

I'm in the front room on my PC and every time I hear a car door shut or what sounds like a van I jump up to look out of the window...

Writing this from my new iPad- it's a thing of absolute beauty I've already fallen in love! The screen is incredible- it even makes my iPhone 4s look ropey!!

Oh and as a side note this the first time I've used voice dictation and it seems to be working pretty well from what I can gather!

Well that was far too easy!

Last year, on iPad 2 release day, I could only order one in at Comet to come on the following Wednesday, Currys weren't being any help whatsoever, and that was at 5pm when the iPads were being released.

This year, I can easily make a reserve and collect order on the Currys website and collect the new iPad right now at the Currys just round the corner.

Wow, thats surprising, I'm fully expecting to walk in and be told the website was lying, ha! Will be going at 12!

I've been up working from home since before 8 and have been up and down every time I hear a car, i've not even got in the shower yet as I'm scared to miss the delivery! Just worried as I live on a new estate with no road sign and all deliveries struggle to find the house

Can anyone recommend any great iPad apps/games I can download while I wait for the delivery.

Also having never had an iPad before, do you have to give it a full charge before using it? and will it charge off the PC or just the 10W power adapter?

Apple products tend to come with 50-60% of charge, enough to start you off, my iPhone did and the other halfs IPad 2 did.
