Although I don't think that verity is one of the most talented singers on the show, I think she really did herself and Simon proud tonight. I am a classical singer and I can really identify with the nerves she feels. Some people just get far more nervous than others, and Verity is obviously one of these people. I have had performances before where I have been so nervous I have practically croaked out the song. Looking back at Verity's performance last week, it must have been excruciating for her - it was terrible and she knew it. This week she really out did herself. Although the nerves were still visible she didn't let them affect her performance, and she gave the best performance I've heard from her since the start of the competition. Well done verity! Simon should be proud.

I think her nerves were still very apparent Hattie, she does have a lot of learning to do I feel. Like you however I love her voice - and I have voted for her tonight - she was definately my favourite along with Rowetta (both very different singers).

I think as the weeks go on (presuming she survives) she will grow stronger - and this week she has shown herself she can do it.

She was better this week than she was last week.I would say she probably believed in herself more this week than she did last week.That's why i believe she will be safe this week.

Please she may have lost the nerves but she still sings flat!!!

I agree that she was so much better this week but feel if this is all she has to offer, then it was pretty average. I've heard better at my local pub. Sorry to offend all you Verity fans but it's just my opinion. Who knows if she survives tonight and becomes stronger next week. If she does, I'll be the first to give credit where credit is due.

an acoustic guitar accompaniment would suit me just fine
as i like to feel the atmosphere around a voice
and dislike sound processing

the only reason why she never looked nervous tonight was because she had 50 people backing her up. you can't have her being backed by a choir for every performance, she's not in the same league as everyone else!
