Can anyone help?

Hi.

Just a bit of help really. The other day my dog was lay on her back, and she tried to get up but yelped. She eventually got up and was fine. She seems to be yelping a lot more recently now, its everytime she's on her back and tries to get up. She's just turned 10.

Her sides have seemed to have become bigger. It's feels like its swollen. Its only by her back legs though.

She is panting a hell of a lot too. Also, her belly is a lot warmer than usual..

Im worried sick about her.

She has had a litter before, but she never yelped.

Any one recognise the symptoms? Any help would be good.

She's going to the vets later on. I just hope its nothing serious.

Yelping, panting a lot and her belly being swollen and hot are not good signs, especially as it's been going on for a few days. I wouldn't waste any time getting her to a vet Laughing Boy. If it's something like a womb infection (and a hot belly would indicate infection) getting it treated quickly can make all the difference between it being fatal or not. Get her to the vet urgently would be my advice.

Shes not in constant pain though and she's eating alright. She can stand on her back legs no problem aswell.

Thanks for the replies. Appreciated
