If anyone of them REALLY had the X-Factor ....

If anyone of them was that special would there really be such a range of opinions on here? After all, we are only being asked to judge between a small group of people. I believe everyone who has got through to this point are extremely talented, and will go on to great things regardless of the results, but surely if there was one outstanding talent there would be some consensus of opinion here? There are lots in these finals that I think "fantastic", yet no one has yet given me that spine-chilling feeling of "YES"! I know we're all keen to defend our favourites but I would love to know if anyone has actually experienced the same kind of moment that I felt when I first heard Will Young? Don't get me wrong, I would give anything to have half the talent any one of these contestants has, but I'm still waiting to get really inspired/excited. Am I missing something?

Yeah. Everyone seems to have been watching a different show.

Forget about Image, on voice:
Cassie was bad, Steve was great.

thats the show I watched.

Cassie was great, Steve was medeocre IMO, which just goes to prove pixiebob's point I would've thought.

I thought both Cassie and Steve were good

I think with such a diverse selection of acts, and the age range and musical tastes of the viewers it would be an absolute miracle if one particular artiste was singled out as a favourite this early. That is why the X factor is turning out to be one of the best of the Pop Idol/ Fame Academy type programmes.

Another good thread-starter Pixiebob

You have a point of course. Like you, I just knew that Will Young had that extra special quality that stood out from everyone else. There isn't anyone in this show that I've thought without a doubt that that's the winner. I think Rowetta has the most unique voice, but I'm not into that type of singing personally. So my opinion of the X Factor is it should be renamed to Same Factor Been Here Before Factor.

Quite, although I think they are all talented this whole thing is about finding something special and unique and I don't think they have yet done this. Recordable and commercial and promotable artists - yes, of course, but I am still waiting to get that shiver down my spine. Yes, I would listen/buy, I might even (Steve) shag, but I have yet to get that "my god this is something I've never heard before and cannot let go" moment as I did with Will Young.

So I cannot criticise the talent of anyone on tonight (even though I loathe VWS and "2toGo" bore me rigid) - but I am altogether disappointed by the whole concept of this competition.
Sorry folks.

Hopefully you at least wait 'til he's a star and has megabucks.

I'm going to prove your point again - I don't like Will Young and don't think he's anything special .

Music is obviously very subjective. I think some of the comments on this forum are ridiculous but whose to say who is right or wrong? It all comes down to personal taste.......

Your right of course. That's why I'm not on the music forum very much

HECK NO - he's so damned sexy I might just agree to shag him whilst he was a poor man - if I was offered, of course, which unfortunately is about as likely for me as a lottery win

Well he might be a better shag as a poor man. Once he gets rich and all them young chics for choice, he might be worn out entirely and a sh*t shag.

Musical taste is subjective. That's what makes it so interesting.
There are only 2 singers that have the ability to make the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Will Young being 1 of them. Alistair Griffin is the other. Totally different singers but IMO they both have something special about them.

I don't think any of them have the X-Factor IMHO, talent yes - but X-Factor, I don't think so, I haven't seen it yet, although I could be proved wrong.
