This week is 6 Years since Madonna released her single "Sorry" The 2nd single off the amazing Confessions on a Dancefloor. It was her 12th UK number one single, and her last UK number one that was just Madonna without any featuring artists.

Sorry remains my all time favourite Madonna song, I love it's theme of self empowerment, and making it alone, I love the lyrics and it's catchy bassline tune that sounds slightly similar to Jackson's 5 "Can you Feel It" However I think Sorry remains a highly underated track that always gets over-powered by the lead single "Hung Up" which i think is an awesome track, but I would say "Sorry" Is a lot stonger lyrically. I like how the new single "Girls Gone Wild" has a little reference to "Sorry" with the opening spoken part and the line "Forgive me" I really hope if any song from Confessions on a Dancefloor makes it on to the 2012 tour setlist that it will be "Sorry"

What do you guys think?

It's never been one of my favourites from the album. I much prefer "Get Together" which was a blinder of a single and deserved to have done a lot better.

I never liked it much. I thought Get Together was far superior

Yeah I really love "Get Together" too!! It's my second favourite after "Sorry" I love it's trance sound and the lyrics are awesome too, Although the video of achive footage from the promo tour is great, I Think "Get Together" really deserved a proper music video. It would be nice to see an interlude or something for it on the 2012 tour

I love "Forbidden Love" I think the lyrics are very deep, powerful and meaningful, I can relate to the words so much! That's one of the main reasons I love COADF, It's a pure dance record but the lyrics to all of the songs are powerful

COADF is one of my favourite all time albums of the last decade! A total Dance masterpeice!

Sorry is a genius song, and a well deserved number 1 smash too! I love that she taught us different ways of saying sorry...everytime one of them is mentioned in something foreign i always go "Madonna taught me that" haha!

I just wished "get together" (another of my fave songs of all time!) and "jump" had better quality videos...more trippy elements and continue the Dance/Mockumentary style of HU and Sorry

Cannot believe it was 6 years ago though...time goes by....so quickly!

Sorry is one of my absolute favourite songs from the last decade. I've said as much many times on this forum over the years. I can't believe it's 6 years ago.

I remember going to Music Zone to buy the singles on the day it came out. I also remember my glee upon finding out that CD2 came in a proper jewel case *geek alert*

Hopefully MDNA might contain some decent tunes despite with Give me all You Luvin' being medicore for my standards lol.

Would love to hear More Trip Hop/Electronica type tracks from Madonna basically a similar type of sound to what 'Ray of Light' album was.

Oh we definitely will. William Orbit was interviewed about Madonna and MDNA album recording by the BBC last night.

And he said a lot of the album is intense and "savage" (i love that word!) and very kinda Rock guitar infused perhaps.

Luvin and Wild are two of the "radio friendly" made happy songs of the album (the third being Turn Up The Radio) the rest of the album....well i reckon by the sounds of things will be very dark and experimental.

I literally havent been so excited by an album in my life...i cannot wait to hear it..also her brother-in-law has co-written with her too (Devil, Dont Tell Me, Jump) so i really cannot wait

Hopefully...though i like Hard Candy...I agree that Confessions On A Dance Floor was her most recent masterpiece!

But i thoroughly cannot wait to hear these other sounds...just wish she will release some as singles...the last thing i want is to associate what sounds like will be possibly up there with her best of the ebst albums...and associate with Luvin really and the split opinions of ehr more "commercial" songs from the album.

I hope she unleashes an experimental song and one of her songs with Orbit at least!

i liked that version too. love this song and it thoroughly deserved its #1 spot. i think its was her first time since the `true blue` album. where she had more than one #1 single off an album.

Of all the Confessions songs I love Forbidden Love.
Forbidden Love, when played with the volume up, is absolutely brilliant.

Once upon a time, there was a boy, there was a girl!
Hearts that intertwined, we lived in a different kind of world.

Forbidden Love, are we supposed to be together.
Forbidden Love, Forbidden Love.
Forbidden Love, we sealed our destiny forever.
Forbidden Love, Forbidden Love.

I love this song. The performance of it in the Confessions Tour was mind blowing.

Is it an upbeat song or ballad? Might give it a listen.

I love this - and the other Forbidden Love too. Hate it when singers have 2 songs with the same name.

Me too. Which is I why I deny that another song with this name exists!
