I have an appalling hair situation at the moment and someone mocked me saying i looked like an 80s pop star; i took this as a compliment however. This lead to me thinking of some of the top mops in the history of pop and i thought it would be interesting to see who would be top of the mops (joke, copyright 1900 approx).

My nominations: (cant get pics on here for now)

1. Robert Smith (a sort of candy floss of gothness)

2. Mike Score (A flock of seagulls ... batman meets the devil mop turns mediocre vocalist into US sensation)

3. Limahl (a sort of folically-vajazzled toilet brush thing)

4. Howard Jones (more bed head than anything else)

5. Tom Bailey (Thompson Twins - doctor doctor, barber,
barber)

6. Justin Bieber (a toilet brush in its most glorious sense)

7. Sigue SIgue Sputnik - a collection of hair-dont's in one
cheap marketing joke

8. Paul King (King) - scary actually

9. Pink - well, it was pink

10, Michael Bolton (Can i touch you there ? No, you bloomin' can't and get your a@s to the barber now, you creepy, nauseating Curtis Stigers lookalike)

11. Frankie Coccccozzzzza (yah, er, just yah)

12. Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets) - bowl cut, bowl cut

Who else can join this freak parade ?

I have a soft spot for Frankie Coccccozzzzza. Facially he isnt all that, and I think his makes up for some of what his face makes up for. His hair does alot for him and his attractiveness imo. If I had his face, I would defo do my hair like his for sure.

Madonna's 80s hair, and eyebrows, now there's some HAIR!!

Cyndi Lauper's half shaven head in the 80s.

And LOL, Phil Oakey.

Don't know if she comes under the pop umbrella but I vote for Janelle Monae.

Soo Catwoman hands down, she's only brought one single out but she's a punk icon whose image was way beyond it's time and is still as striking as it ever was.

I forgot Mark Ronson's 2010 platinum blonde quiff.

Thing is, IMO it kind of suited him!
