there was a miscarriage of justice on the x-factor tonight

and g4 were the main beneficiaries

looking back in anger, can i say they have overstayed

their welcome,

sorry g4 fans, but they are ruining a great talent show with

their naff re-interpretation of 'pop songs'......

please don't give them anymore credibility

thank you

I'd agree that the novelty's worn off with G4.They are beginning to appear a bit smug as well.An lp of covers by them would be great for insomniacs!

agreed thms.

They have ok voices, but the tone is annoying and all wrong, and pop songs do not suit them. They will not be successful if they win.

To be fair thms, I think Louis and team are trying to make G4 mainstream so they appeal to more voters. I wish they would just let them be who they are and be judged on that.

Much as I like them on the X Factor, I've got to say that if I went for dinner at someone's house & they put on a G4 album, I'd have to get me coat

Louis needs to adopt the Less is More approach with G4. Take away the music and let them sing the sort of songs they should be singing. I enjoyed their performance tonight but the songchoice was poor as were their clothes. Something by the BeachBoys, BeeGees or Josh Groban would be more suitable for them and Louis should stop trying to turn them into something they are not. People love them for who they are so he should start letting them and his other two groups have more say in what they sing.

I really like them...I bet they're the sort of thing that if you don't like them they're like nails scratching a blackboard....My advice here is if you don;t like them don;t vote for them...sooner or later you'll get your wish...but as an experienced hand at this wanting people out lark I can;t guarentee it....

It's gloves off as far as me and G4 are concerned (and I thought that it would be Tabby who I was going to be having a pop at from now on )

G4 were pathetic tonight, just awful. They should have gone. From now on I'll be slagging off G4 until they are gone; they have used up all of their 'get out of jail free' cards as far as I'm concerned.

That whole 'facial expression coaching' thing, what the f**k was that about? At first I thought "Yes, well singing 'everybody hurts' with a stupid grin on your face and your hand in your pocket like you are a clueless old **** who thinks that you will appeal to the youth of today by doing that???
They need coaching!

But then they came on trying to look like f*cking Westlife, so obviously uncomfortable with it, so cringemaking *Bleaurghhhhh*.

And just as you got used to how badly they were doing 'Don't look back in anger' they launched into the chorus... and it sounded like they had just started to sing a completely different song... and screwed up the whole thing even more.

The trouble is, they were too busy trying to look like a f*cking boyband to notice how badly they were doing, thus the looks of total increduility as Simon Cowell told them how shite they had been tonight.

There, I feel a little better now

they are far better singers than anyone else in the competiton and they are my faves. how can you say that the novelty has worn off? They're completely unique and actually their 'crappy interpretations' of pop songs are arranged by themselves. No other act has power like this. Don't blame them for the bad song choices, it's Louis that picks them.

G4 to go all the way, they're the only ones on the show with real talent and the x factor!

i agree totally, if it wasnt for louis an his so called stylists trying to make G4 something they r not, they would b a lot better off. this group are not meant to sing pop songs, thats why they were let down 2nite, but i think they did sing better than 2 to go. hopefully louis will hav learned his lesson tonite an will give them a song next week that will suit their unique voices!

Personally, my concern doesn't rest with G4 lacking talent or the great unquantifiable 'X', that i believe them to have in bucket-loads; my fear is that they have a mentor who is priding himself on having been able to think 'outside of the box' [*begs forgiveness for the use of a horridly over-used term *] enough to make them one of his three BUT (very important 'BUT') is now trying to climb back into the box and take G4 with him.

G4 ARE unquestionably the greater vocalists and interpretative vocal talent within the line-up. The breadth and scope of the potential they offer ought to be a gift, week in week out, to LW...the opportunity their natural talent offers to wide-ranging exploitation by LW is immense...

G4's success rests on whether LW has the courage to do more than punt them as singing left-field arrangements of soft-rock/indie classics. For LW to even touch than genre is beyond his previous ken...he's more comfortable producing MOR boy-band...LW appears to feel he's taken G4 far enough away from that which he knows...BUT G4 have the range to be taken much further.

LW needs to allow G4 to explore the full range, breadth and depth their inate vocal makes possible...i want to hear them adapted to much heavier rock instrumental accompaniment one week...taking on something disco (beatbox) the next...give them a romantic ballad with full orchestra...make them find their R&B...and give us that big-band jazz/lounge...

They have the potential range to give us it all...with a quirk...LW is too convential to see that?!

G4 , vocally and as an entity, will never do themselves a disservice...LW may.
