Ratchet and Clank HD collection coming?

The Sixth Axis are reporting that this is incoming - due to hit in May (sourced from an Amazon France listing)

It would be amazing if this is true - Racthet and Clank is probably my favourite game franchise.

Maybe this will be one of the games that Sony are anouncing for the Vita next week

Bit of R&C action on the Vita would be amazing

Great news, definitely my most wanted of the HD collections. Still waiting to get the J&D trilogy, which came out way too close to the Vita.

Well that would complete the collection of the great PS2 platformers.

I never played the series before PS3 so it's something I'd be interested in, especially of I can play them on my Vita

Confirmed on the PS blog that there are no plans for a Vita version.

Full 1080p FINALLY, at least one of the porting studios did it right, there was no reason at all that Jak & Daxter had to be 720p.

Jak & Daxter is not actually 720p.

It's sub-HD.

They struggled with porting it over as those games took advantage of the PS1 architecture inside the PS2 too.

still looks okay - and plays great.

reading the post on the US Blog about the R&C collection - it is releasing a few months later over there but they are getting some form of special surprise or something. They are being vague on the details but it looks like some form of pre-order bonus or something, which will be available in other territories, but which we may have to pay for.
Either way I am getting this day 1.

It sounds like they have a few plans for the 10 year anniversary (God I feel old). Fingers crossed for a new proper R&C game - All 4 1 was fun, but I want a direct follow up to A Crack in Time......

Looking like a good year for Ratchet and Clank fans (ie - me!)

I'm ridiculously happy that this has been confirmed and cannot wait for May.
I did a little jig on my couch last night with happiness.

This is great news, I bought all the games after playing the PS3 versions. Unfortunately there seems to be a glitch in one of the games that won't let you play further so it would be nice to play these games fully

Which game did you have a problem with?

Looks like this has been delayed until the end of the month now...... still it will be worth the wait. And with a new R&C game coming towards the end of the year it will be a good few months for Ratchet fans. The new game, QForce, looks pretty cool. the good news is it is a return to the classic camera angle etc. (after all four ones experiment) but the bad news is it will be a download game, so closer in length to Quest for Booty. They did mention some online component though, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Ooh the gloves are off! Joking aside, what didn't you like about Gladiator? I really liked it actually. True, there wasn't as much focus on platforming as there was in the first 3 games, but IMO the gameplay was enjoyable enough to make up for it (though I did switch to 3rd-person mode - Lock-Strafe mode can be tricky to handle), not to mention I loved the humour in Gladiator too.

However I will concede two things: firstly, that the levels are perhaps not as memorable as in the original trilogy due to the way the nature of the plot keeps the game moving forward; and secondly, that the music isn't as memorable overall as previous games, despite having some great songs IMO.

I'm currently playing through Size Matters on PSP and I'm actually on the fence about whether I like it or not so far. Gladiator wasn't so uncertain for me.

I love platforming - I think that's why I was a bit turned off with Gladiator. I probably didn't give it enough time (I remember I gave it up quite quickly and sold it!)
If it comes out for PSN, I'll definitely be buying it though.

I had Size Matters on PSP too, and sold it. I just didn't enjoy it that much.

I hope the release date for the HD Trilogy isn't put back again!
