Leave Vws Alone! They Are Great! Vocally One Of The Best Acts!

bloody hell I'm so sick of everyone slating VWS on this forum. They are no where near the worst acts in fact they're one of the strongest, as the judges (music professionals) agree. LEAVE THEM ALONE!

are you stamping your feet whilst you type?

it's only people's opinions, don't fret about it. we all make our own choices, the beauty of a free country

Ok, since you put it like that.

I dont think anyone complains about their vocals, it's mor ehow they present their vocals that bothers me.

They are outdated and I can't see them having a hit record.

They don't do a thing for me. I liked them when I heard them in the auditions but so far they haven't impressed me when singing live.

Just because you like them it doesn't mean that everyone does. We are all entitled to our own opinion and if you aren't prepared to accept that then this obviously isn't the forum for you and you need to find a VWS forum where everyone will agree with you.

They were lucky to get in after they screwed up their audition to reach the final 3.

They don't have anything that the public haven't seen before.

It's not a case of everyone agreeing with me. People can feel free to likeand dislike different acts. But VWS do NOT deserve the complete slating they are getting. and yes I was stamping my feet! lol

i agree, none of the acts deserve a slating

or you could say they all do for putting themselves up for criticism

i prefer the constructive approach personally

(still don't like VWS soul though)

thats your opinion which you are entitled to.all the other acts are routinely slagged off here so why not them too?

Thanks for that, thms!

I love VWS, but you have to accept that everyone has their own opinions.

I'm just glad that they're through to next week!

VWS have undeniable talent, but they're all over the place. They sound great one minute, and the next minute they're singing out of tune. They might become a good act if they worked with a good voice coach. One of the older two women seems to be the best of the three - and I suspect any one of them would have done better competing as a solo artist.

I agree, we all have our own opinions and that's what makes the forums so interesting. It would be a dull world if we all agreed with everyone else. If I see people running my favourites down, I rarely argue about it, I just join another thread. Far less stressful.

I got used to people not agreeing with my choices on the BB and FA forums. I knew instantly I liked Alex Parks (FA) and I haven't changed my opinion, but I appreciate others can't stand her and that's okay.

They are good, but not incredible, not that they couldn't be, but they won't be by singing stuff that is stuck in the 70's.

As for them getting slated on here, hey you are looking at a Tabby fan, join the club.

I'm a big fan of soul music so by rights I should like VWS but I'm sorry, they're just not good enough. They're constantly missing notes and singing out of tune. They're also singing songs that they just haven't got the talent to live up to (I thought it was ridiculous for them to attempt an Aretha Franklin song). They also seem to be able to only sing in one style which as others have said, is very dated.

As a fan of this type of music its very disappointing. Not only do we have VWS but Steve as well. His faux soul, cheesy interpretations with that stupid grin on his face really annoy me and so does his attitude (listening to soul doesn't mean you have it or can convey it you cretin )

VWS - they shout very loudly and very well and occasionally they hit a right note. I can get my hands on some old 60s and 70s real soul recordings, if anyone wants to hear how it is really done, then we can get rid of VWS next week and enjoy the rest of the show. After all the other non-starter and very lack-lustre Verity thankfully departed this week.

Then again hats off to all who made it to the final 9, I guess I'm just jealous that I can't sing to impress.

There are already loads of vocally much better female acts in the music business than VWS. Unfortunately for VWS they don't have anything else going for them like charisma, charm, looks, humour, style or originality. It isn't XXL-Factor it's X-Factor and they don't have any.

I'm sorry but if you look everyone gets slagged. I agree I think VWS were great but people have the right to disagree. And the judges said that about most of the acts.

VWS were absolutely dreadful last night. If you're going to do an Aretha song, then you have to be bloody good because comparisons are inevitably going to be made. They just weren't good enough: flat most of the time and far too shouty. In fact, I think Verity would have done a better rendition of the song.

They started out being one of my favourites, but their performances on the live shows have been terrible.

Don't often post on here but had to add my tuppenie's worth here. Agree with what has been said above. I said last week whilst watching the programme, after VWS's performance, that they weren't singing, they were 'shouting'. Seems a lot of people thought the same thing, which is why they finished in the bottom two. To be fair, they were better this week but, as mentioned, there's not enough tune to their singing, if you listen to the originals then you'll see how tuneful the songs are. Listen to VWS's renditions and half of it is tuneless caterwawling.

The show is called 'The X Factor' and, whether you like it or not, they haven't got it. Also, people are going to criticise them, not everyone is a fan, so they're not going to 'leave them alone'. It's called opinions.
