It got me wondering after Simon was telling Verity on ITV2 that it was up to her if she wanted to go ahead and make it as a star. I can't help thinking that maybe Simon has offered her a record contract (if she is interested) when The X Factor is done and dusted and out of the way?

Also I think that Simon has the hots for Verity and doesn't want to let her go!

I hope he does offer her a contract.

They certainly do seem to have a 'special' kind of relationship, and Rowetta has already said that Verity has a crush on him.

I love the way he has been so supportive of her, always holding her hand etc and the way he looks at her, ahhh, i like simon... and think Verity is a lucky lady!!

she doesnt deserve a contract she had her chance, lied about why she gave it up, she deserves to wallow in her what ifs.

Verity is under contract until at least the end of the X-Factor tour so she is unable to do any other deals at the moment anyway.

Why did Verity lie about why she gave up her contract, what really happened?

What has she lied about?

i don't think that it would be fair on the other contestents if simon gave her a contract, who ever wins will have had to work for it

Not fair??? Sharon has already hinted that she and Roberta will be working together after the show.

He has already said Rowetta has a contract whether she wins or not.

All the judges will sign up their artists if they want them, thats the way these shows work., ie Gareth Gates, Zoe Birckett, Sam and Mark, Darius, etc etc

Well I hope Simon does sign her up. There's something different and appealing about her.

You cant make accusations like that and not have any proof, what exactly did she lie about when giving her reasons on why she gave up?

So far no-one has answered that - i want to know why they think she lied to.

Must admit I'd be quite interested to.

I doubt if Simon will sign her up. He is a successful businessman and just because he has a soft spot for someone doesnt mean he will sign her up and risk a loss.

I think she's had her 15 minutes, and I'm not covinced that Simon's soft spot for her is all that genuine either. He seems to be making a rather miraculous transformation into Simon "I'm a nice guy really" Cowell this year, don't you think? *rolls eyes*

Dont buy Simons nice guy act for a second. This is his show. He has turned it into a huge vanity project for himself.

Yeah, its a project in spin too, as an attempt to remove himself from the most hated celeb top 5.

Judging by some of the posts on here and various other boards - it seems to be working.

Can I just attempt to put a comment in about the "Vee telling lies" thing.
I think there was some doubt to the authenticity of her "I gave up my recording contract offers to save my marriage"
well there was in this ol' PIV's opinion anyway.
No,Auntie Vee won't get past the "let's get your people and my people together" malarky.
I'm afraid I see Auntie Vee back doing the kiddie voice coaching again, and absolutely nothing wrong in that,at all.
She'll probably be able to say Auntie Vee from XF show fame on her publicity stuff...the kids Mum's will love it...
