Playbook issues
Hi I recently bought a Blackberry Playbook and I'm mostly happy with it but I've got one niggle that's driving me mad!
I've been wanting to tether via my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I've set up the bluetooth and it shows them as paired but they won't connect!! On my phone the tickbox at the side of the paired items is greyed out and on the playbook the button to connect is greyed out also!! I've tried unpairing and starting again from beginning but nothing works!! Could really do with getting it working as want to be able to get on Internet at work (our access has been took off us) |

I'm pretty sure the bluetooth tethering internet option is only compatible with blackberry phones? someone correct me on that if I am wrong. But dont you have a wifi hot spot option on your phone to connect to internet using your 3g and data plan?
That's what I do. I have a Desire HD, and I activate the hotspot and then switch on the wifi on the playbook, it picks up the connection like connecting to my home wifi, except it's on my phone. Works perfectly. |

When I bought it I'm sure the man said it would tether via bluetooth with my phone and it has paired up!
Maybe I've misunderstood him, will look into the hotshot thing though!! |

Bluetooth drives me mad with that, over the years mobile phones etc have restricted file transfer etc via the drivers, so bascially makes your blue tooth only good for audio and few other things. Stops you tethering
