Whitney Houston- One Moment In Time

I have always known this song but just recently started listening to it lyrically, it's beautiful and I like how it was released to coincide with the Olympics in 1988.

Whitney's vocal is superb on it and really captures the simplicity of believing in yourself always! She has done some stunning performances of it too (the grammys being just one). I just wondered if anyone else loves this song the way I do

Damn straight! I love it too, she just slays again and again.

The Grammy performance is amazing. Saying that, it's never been one of my favourite Whitney songs, I've always preferred her upbeat stuff to her ballads.

While we're on the subject of Whitney. I found out yesterday that she covered Stevie Nicks' "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You" in the sessions for her "I Look to You" album but it didn't make the cut. I don't think it's leaked yet but I'd love to hear it. Here's the original:

The grammy performance is probably my favourite Whitney moment ever.

It sounds like a studio recording that has had work done on it, not a live performance, it's near flawless.

I agree, it sounded like a CD, but it was clearly live (before people start!)

Effortless voice, beautifully delivered.

Its probably my favourite ballad of all time.

Its quite weird and stange, but I was listening to it and thinking how amazing Whitney's voice was on it about a week before she died

I know what you mean. Her voice on this is at it's ultimate best. Mind blowing how great it is.
