She released her first single at the same time (or perhaps a bit later) than Britney and Christina but in my opinion, was always overlooked and I don't know why. Personally I find that while she sometimes releases great tracks from her albums, there are so many others that I would have kept for the album and released as singles.

People argue/defend the likes of Britney and Madonna for miming on stage when doing difficult dance routines saying it's impossible to do both but Pink always sings live (to my knowledge) even though she has high energy routines in her concerts herself.

And compared to the peers she started out with, she still seems to be going strong, while Britney (who in my opinion, was never really that outstanding to begin with) seems to now deliver the same old tired performances with bad lip synching and Christina seems to have lost her powerful voice. (I'm judging this by recent performances I've seen of her - I'm aware that she is now a judge on The Voice, but I've not watched it so don't know if she sings on there and, if she does, if she's recaptured her talent) Beyonce and Gaga both sing live whilst delivering amazing concerts, yet whenever people mention this in the defending of miming, people seem to leave Pink out and I'm unsure of why, especially as she is so talented. Just my opinions anyway, I'll still love her regardless, whether she gets the recognition she deserves or not

Totally. Even wikipedia has a section on her being underrated. I love P!nk. She is brilliant. And for me, she made rock accessible without it being off putting. Her lyrics were great too. In short, she runs this mutha!!! For me in the 00s, it was P!nk and Beyonce at the top.

Pink in general is very underated
But i wouldn't say she is underated in performing. She finally proved to critics and the world that she is a great performer with her Funhouse tour, which is one of the highest grossing tours of all time.

I've seen pink in concert (funhouse tour) she is amazing. The acrobatics she performs are so much better than the kicks and wiggles that Britany relies on. Pink writes the majority of her songs and her voice can rival Christina's anyday.

I wouldn't say underrated, more underexposed.

No. She's had a very successful career both critically and commercially selling millions of records and concert tickets all over the world for the past decade. Being not quite as famous/successful as Beyonce/Lady Gaga etc does not make someone underrated.

She doesn't associate with her contemporaries as much as she should in order to reach absolute stratospheric superstar status. But I don't think she wants to, and she doesn't need to in that case. But if she were to change her song style a little to be more diverse and come back with a publicity blitz second only to Lady Gaga's gruelling schedule, she would be bigger than any woman on the planet because she has the skills and intelligence to back it up.

IMO the greatest touring female acts on the planet that aren't past it are Lady Gaga, Pink and Beyonce (In no particular order). They sing, they dance, they perform and put on a hell of a show. That's why you pay money to see them, not to see them mime or stand behind a microphone singing songs you could hear in better quality on CD for less cost. Pink, like Gaga and Beyonce, knows that she needs to give her fans what they've paid for, and the fans respond in kind.

Basically, she just needs to do more promo if she wants the dizzying heights of superstardom, but she's verging on it right now without putting herself through such strain.

I love P!nk. I don't think she is underrated, I just think she is under exposed. She has grabbed herself so many hits without having to be in our face every hour of the day. She can pull off one hell of a show as well!

I have the oddest opinion of P!nk because she was (and maybe still is) seen as a kind of rebellious female pop artist. She wasn't going down the road of sweet cute pop music, she was giving attitude and being very fiesty, and I think that's what sets her a part from many other females in the charts. However, despite that, she is a very serious artist. She writes about serious things that everybody relates too.

But then there is an extremely catchy, fun side to her. In this day and age, many songs do become silly, generic and throw away, but when It comes to P!nk, I always get this vibe that her songs will never be throwaway. She writes 'silly' songs but they have deeper meanings. Something like 'Stupid Girls' 'So What' etc. I love that she writes a lot of 'mocking' songs.

I'm glad to see when VH1 did the 100 Greatest Females in Music, P!nk was at #10

Well she is a parent now, im sure she has bigger fish to fry. i love her, and i seem to remember her a lot around this time a decade ago she's awesome

No I don't think she is. She isn't as huge as Beyonce, Lady Gaga etc but she has her very own place in the music industry where no one can touch her. Everyone knows of her, she's definitely cemented her status as worldwide artist and she's had plenty of commercial success. I think she's happy with what she's done and probably never wanted to over-expose herself.

Last time I checked she was a millionaire, so "underrated" doesn't sound right to me She's not as talked about as some of her peers, big deal!

Underrated was perhaps the wrong word to use but its just that I feel that she doesn't get the recognition she deserves compared to some of her less talented peers.
