Louis IS in a pact with Sharon
moogester
31-10-2004
Louis confirms he is in league with Sharon to vote Simon's acts out in today's People.

What is the point? If the voting is rigged like this, whoever wins the competition will not be the best person and will disappear without a trace if the have no strong fanbase

Louis' interview

The artiste I feel most sorry for is Steve. Simon has already said Rowetta has a contract

This competition is becoming a farce

OMG.. so because it's in the "People" it must be true right!!

Even the Sun makes that paper look respectable!!!

It's really scary how so many people out there still believe word for word what's presented to them in the media these days!!

exactly.they can rig it between them all they want if it means enough to them to say their act won the competition but to actually get an act which will have longevity will be a miracle after this show

There are quotes from Louis, if it was untrue he could sue the arse of them. It does Not say allegedly nor does it say a spokesman It is so scary how so many people just read what is front of them without double checking

haha.. you think it's worth going to court to sue for libel for that???

Interviews tend to be teal, to easy to sue otherwise

OMG!!

What is this all about?

Louis is such a [various unmentionable words come to mind] and Sharon? That's a disgrace if they are both behaving like this. If it's true, that it...

Now....Louis, you idiot, if people read that, then Simon's folks will get the sympathy vote.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's all an act to make money from the voting frenzy that will arise now.

It's probably a pact between them ALL. It's Simon's show....the voting pulls the money in. They must be making fortunes over this.

Have to agree with you. Its all about increasing the voting revenue. At the end of the day it will be Simon who stands to gain no matter who wins. They are all contracted to his company. It is his show after all. More voting revenue means more money in the coffers for him. All three must be laughing at all this.

There's just something not right about the voting full stop... Public ring up and vote... and then the judges pick who they want to go?? hmmm..

We're NEVER given any percentages, even after the show, as far as I'm aware. I thought Verity had a really good night last night (I don't like her) and yet this week she's in the vote out?

I bet there are never two acts from the same manager up the same week.
I predict next week one of the groups will go, and hey presto, down to 2 acts each!

I agree but tabloids often get around this by taking quotes and statements out of context and the additional text around the quotes, being designed to influence the reader. For all we know,he may have said he and Sharon had agreed to vote of Simon's act IF they were the worse act and then the journalist (why do i want to put that in inverted commas?!) selects what to put in the final draft.

In saying all of that, i think Louis often doesn't help himself. I have no strong feelings for him either way but i think he isn't as savvy as either Sharon or Simon when it comes to saying the right thing in public. Sharon is very good at getting people onside and agreeing with her opinion, Simon (bugger this is contraversial) is very good at manipulating audiences by getting them to disagree with him and do what he actually wants them to do anyway. If you listen to Louis, his points often lack impact because he either repeats himself (the choir/gimmick comments last night, "don't know what drugs simon is on" comments last week) or he echoes what sharon says. Very little thought goes into what Louis says in terms of his awareness of the possible audience response. I've no doubt he knows his stuff when it comes to music, but i don't think his people skills are very advanced. On a programme like this, you need both.

I can well believe he said some indiscreet things to the journalist but i doubt he said them in quite the context The People would like us to believe.

I just read it. I have the paper.

It is from the People, but I already believed it anyway. And actually there's a pic in the paper of Louis shaking the reporter's hand while smiling at the camera. Not that that proves much but.....

It's ridiculous. Does he not think he could experience a backlash from this. He may have 3 acts in right now but at least two of them won't last for much longer by the looks of it. And he'll be down to 1 and up against the other two's stronger acts. Idiot.

Rep "Hey Louis, mind if I take a picture of us to add to the office wall?"

LW "sure"

Rep "that Simon what a ******* for voting out your act eh!

LW Yeah, Sharon and I were sat in the dressing room talking about it after .. Sharon was there for ages

Rep Oh .. bet you can't wait to get one of his acts out.

LW I will for sure try and be getting rid of Verity, I'll have Sharon onside I'm sure.

And a very talented tabloid journalist can turn that into the article you read above.. it's been done so many times! Why do you think a lot of the "Stars" say on interview shows "I don't really read the papers"
HarlemsNocturne

Like I already said, it's from the People. BUT, I'd been thinking this 'Don't let Simon win! Vote off all his acts!' to begin with. It's like they're just printing what a lot of people are thinking anyway.

Louis and Sharon between them are almost making this show unwatchable.

They come across as being extremely petty in the extreme.

If its true (and its a big IF due to the source of the story) then surely they'll have to do away with the judges having the casting vote.

Right, dont vote for G4 or 2 to go (vote for VWS though cos they're actually talented.

Therefore G4 and 2TG will be in bottom 2, so one of louis's acts will go!

Ive just thought- right, this is simon's show so he can change the rules at any time, cant he? Therefore he could scrap the judge's vote after hearing sharons and louis's plan couldnt he?

That is exactly what I think!! Both Sharon and Louis are making themselves look stupid. It's not about the acts anymore, but about the stupid in-fighting from the judges! Who cares about who 'belongs' to who? The contestants are also begining to believe this farce - eg. 'G4' were reacting to Simon's comments as if he was a monster. He only said that he didn't think their song suited them. Which I agree with - yet again, they seemed out of place, rather odd and 'weird sounding'. After all, 'G4' are only a light 'middle-of-the-road' act and should only be really singing light operetta - not Oasis songs!!

I for one would like to see all the judges go. They could still manage the acts. However it would be ideal for a reality show to get some real people in to make the coments and decide who goes through.

The judges are destroying the talent on this show because of their bickering. Louis is so up himself. It is all about him and his success. He was exactly the same on popstars. He is the greatest thing since slice bread, so he thinks. He is fact a bore. Get him off. As for Sharon she is fair and a bit of a laugh. She understans peoples feelings, however she is letting this so called feud affect her judgement. As for Simon he would be outstanding in a pantomime. He hams it up and loves every minute of it.

Based on the way Louis's performance on the shows I would expect ito devise a plan to ensure he wins. i don't think he likes losing. His past record speaks for itself.
