I am not being rude but was it a good idea to get a dog if you can't afford vets bills? What happens if your dog becomes ill? Also it will need regular check ups and jabs at various points. I could understand if it was an existing dog and you had fallen on hard times. But to get a dog you clearly can't afford seems a bit crazy to me.

Looking at your profile why not cancel your Sky HD and Sky+ sub to pay for the op.

PDSA is another one you could try. They have vet hospitals. Try their website to see if there is any near you.

How old is the dog?

If its a she, you should wait until after their first season before you get them spade.

Also, sometimes the place you got them from ie. rescue home often offer special rates.

In Birmingham their is a place called the vaccination clinic which offers a standard fee of £80 for the op

Also, I would much prefer someone to take a dog on and struggle with potential vet bills and offer them a great quality of life than let them sit for months or years in kennels
