The gimmicks list
whip
31-10-2004
I think we should keep a list of the gimmicks used, as Louis seems to have thing against them.

Simon - Choir backing.

Sharon - Kiddie choir backing, guitar. (strange louis never mentioned these?)

Louis - Gratuitous use of Piano, G4(One big gimmick)

Sharon : dragging poor little Minnie in last night (which in my opinion amounts to cruelty - subjecting the poor pooch to hot studio, loud noise, harsh lights.........not to mention having to sit next to Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh (for which she should receive a Special Doggie Tolerance Award). But seriously, the poor thing looked like it had been tranquilised. I know Sharon adores all her pets, but please Sharon, leave her at home next week

It's not hot at all in the studio, and the lights aren't bright at all to be fair, however being a responsible dog owner myself, I wouldn't have put my doggie through the noise and cheering that goes on in there

Oh yes, oh yes, Penny! I love Shazza, but they way she and Ozzy let the dogs lick their faces and stuff....ewwwwwww [there should be a sickly smilie here]. I hate dogs, but Minnie was soooooooo cute. I just worry about where it does its poos and stuff on live TV studios.

Do dogs do Tena pads?

.......I never seem to connect with people who don`t like dogs......how can one not love a dog - they give unconditional love - what more can you ask for. I would only ever date a guy who loved animals (especially dogs) - they are so much more sensitive than non-dog lovers.
***in answer to your final question ......no but humans do

But you should love them enough to not put them in the situation of last night.
Not that I think sharon meant to be cruel just not enough thought.

You think this dog is going to be fazed by being in a TV studio with a live audience? It's part of the Osbourne family for Gawd's sake! It probably thought the studio was a bit quiet!

Yes I do actualy, Julian Clarey used to have fanny the wonder dog but retired her just because the stress was too much for the dog.

.......I am beginning to worry about Buster O`Grady being paraded with his master at 5pm every day on ITV (he even had the poor thing wearing a Halloween hat on Friday`s show. I will forgive him though because Paul is a great supporter of animal charities and adores all his animals.

There is nothing worse than the smell of a damp dog. Dribbling mouthed dogs and dogs that stick their rude noses all over the place. Yuk.

I like cats. I am always very suspicious of people who don't like cats

I got attacked by a dog when I was 8 now i'm an avid cat fan. We should rename this thread - the best pet list.

I get attacked by a cat every morning. She finds it amusing to give you a 4 am wake up call.

I'm a cat lover too I like dogs too, and in their defence, their errant behaviour is usually down to bad owners.

Now gimmicks do Simons eyebrows count?
