Chico undermarked, Chemmy overmarked

Can't believe Chemmy got a higher judges score than Chico. Her performance looked clunky and uncomfortable, whilst Chico was slick and fun. It is much easier to be lifted than do the lifts, and Chico did some dangerous stuff tonight. Are the judges trying to get rid of Chico?

Just looking at poll here, Chico's performance is currently the second favourite and yet he is in the bottom two now.

The doubling of the scores for the team challenge really made the whole thing unfair. They should have been marked separately for their team performances.

Chico could be out tonight if Andy gets the Coronation Street vote, and Chico finds himself up against Matt in the dance off.

The team challenge skews everything. Daft idea.

Is there anywhere online that can see the viewers scores for each performance?

I agree with everything you say here. I called my mum up in disgust. How the hell did that Chemmy get 25.5? That must be the biggest over score in the history of the programme.

Hoping the public are not fooled and she finds herself in the bottom 2 with Andy.

Fair dos - she was undermarked last week.....

A lot of people on twitter seemed to be of the same opinion.

Personally, I thought it was a close run thing, but I'm surprised Louie awarded Chemmy and Chico the same performance mark. I thought Chico had the edge in that department. Performing comes more naturally to him, he gives it that little bit extra.

I like them both for the record, and if one of them leaves, the other will get all my support.

I'm gonna have to disagree there! I felt both were overmarked, but Chemmy was certainly better than Chico. Chico's had a little too much butt-thrusting (Honestly, made me gag) and it just didn't have the usual strength of his performances.

I thought Chemmy's was a great performance Dazzer, I think you're over reacting slightly! Remember the 7, Katarina gave to Rosemary just a few weeks ago! Its only a TV show, although all hell will break loose if Andy survives

I think Chemmy has frequently been underrated by the judges and whilst this wasn't my favourite performance she's done, I was pleased that she is now getting the credit she deserves. I also thought she was brilliant in the team challenge, the best of the girls for me!

That said Chico's main performance was margianally better IMO, but both were really good. I voted for them both anyway, it's all good!

Sadly that is unlikely as the skewed team challenge score has placed her in the second spot so very unlikely she'll be in the bottom two.

Its all opinions but I found Chemmy a bit boring to be honest and nothing about her performance grabbed me at all. I love Chico and find him infectious to watch. Not many men at 41 in the kind of shape he is in for sure.

It was mainly the song I think that kind of made it a bit dull, Chris' choreo has really sagged this series! I hope they both survive, my two favourites. Andy & Jen for bottom 2

I have just looked at the betting odds on who to go tonight and Andy is obviously a big favourite and Chemmy is second favourite to leave even though she rated 2nd on the board.

I think it will be Andy and Chemmy with Andy to leave. I cannot see how Andy can survive the bottom2 and he is certain to leave against anyone in the skate off. I really like Jen tonight for the first time so far, it was a lovely song that was danced and acted really well - have a feeling she will be safe.

Problem is that if the judges positioning of the performances is 50% of the vote (anyone got details on how this voting actually works?) then Chico has to be in the top 2 of the public's vote to avoid the dance off and Chemmy has to be at the bottom of the public's vote.

I think this:

Matt: Overmarked
Jorgie: Overmarked
Chemmy: Fine
Jennifer: Undermarked
Chico: Fine
Andy: Overmarked

... which could quite easily happen!

What's with all the hating on Chemmy tonight on this site? The girl's done GOOD! I love her, and I think Chico's brilliant as well, why does it have to be about someone being overmarked and another being undermarked?

Yeah I think if it is scored on points between the judges and viewers and say Chico had 7 points between both and Chemmy had the same then the viewers vote gets it over the judges vote.

Not put it very well but hope it makes some sense.

I think the scores were about right tonight personally - I'd have possibly marked Chico a little bit higher, but otherwise I agreed with what we saw.

Personally have nothing against Chemmy and want to see Andy gone, but the scoring tonight was in the wrong order compared to the quality and content of their performances.

I would not hate on any of them there all great out there having a go entertaining us all on a Sunday night.
I guess the answer to the question is that we all like to have an opinion on the scoring and the forum is a good place to discuss if people believe someone was over or under marked.

Fair enough, and I hope I didn't cause any offence. I just think Chemmy is getting a raw deal on DS this week - there doesn't seem to be such negativity about Jorgie for example, who is top of the leaderboard. Some have even said she deserved more points!

I disagree, I thought Chemmy did a fabulous job. Her dismounts/landings were beautifully smooth. The only moment I didn't like was the pause before the lift.

Gosh no offence taken at all. We all see it differently that's what makes a forum a good place for debate.

Should perhaps add Jen's performance into the discussion. Her skate was far smoother and more lyrical than Chemmy's so think the total votes for Chico, Chemmy and Jen should have been in the following order, starting with the highest:

Chico
Jen
Chemmy

... with Andy right at the bottom of the scoreboard.

I thought Chemmy deserved the votes she got, I think this is more about a personality thing, I'm aware a lot of people dislike her on here!

I think Jorgie was overmarked tonight, i fell that Jen was actually on par with her yet she got a lower score.
