I'd say his 2 most recent albums released under the name Yusuf (An Other Cup, Roadsinger), are actually better than the last 3-4 albums he put out as Cat Stevens. Not least, because it sounds like his heart is actually in the material, and he's actually enjoying himself.

I only really discovered him properly around 10-12 years ago in my early thirties and have loved him ever since. Really difficult to choose a favourite song but "How Can I Tell You" is achingly beautiful, and another vote for Sad Lisa oh and I almost forgot... Into White....

He's been in decline since Foreigner probably.
I've heard some of Roadsinger, nothing memorable to be honest.

Maybe not such a great loss to Islam?

Bought 'The very Best of...' last year, I think. My favourites are Wild World, Morning Has Broken & Father and Son...

'Lady D'Arbanville' was one of the first songs I learned to play on piano.

I've just listened to that on Spotify - very nice tune.

I like most of Cat's famous tunes. My favourite lesser known song is 'Baby Get Your Head Screwed On' from his first album.
