Home Theatre Problem
Hi , i have a Panasonic Neo Pdp 42" Plasma Tv and recently purchased a Panasonic SC-BTT270 Home Theatre . Ive set it all up and tested the speakers which are all working fine and i'm generally very happy with my choice , Blu rays sound and look absolutely superb .
I also have Sky HD hooked up , Hdmi straight to the Tv with Optical cable to Theatre kit . My problem seems to be somewhere in the set up . If i use the Theatre remote it changes volume on the Theatre box , If however i use the Sky remote or Tv remote the Volume changes BUT 'Home Cinema Volume' comes up on the screen , the screen goes black for a few seconds and if i press for too long i lose picture and have to go through the AV's to recover . I'm guessing this is something simple ive overlooked , but i cant see the wood for the trees , Any help would be appreciated |

Not quite clear what you are saying. Is it that you are trying to use the TV remote or Sky remote to change the volume on the TV while the home theatre system is in use? If so, it sounds like the TV is warning you of that.

It does not matter if i use the Sky , Tv or Blu Ray remote , The problem is still the same . a blue 'Home Theatre Volume' appears on the Tv and the screen goes black while you increase or decrease . if this takes more than a few seconds i have to scroll through all the AV options until i get back to Sky ( Hdmi1)

But does using those remotes change the volume on the TV or on the surround system?

Oh sorry , pressing volume does actually change the volume on the home theatre system , so the Viera link is working fine . The downside is the black screen and having to reset the Hdmi
