I couldn't stand Adam - the black woman trapped in a man's body. I suspect the way he described himself is one of the reasons America didn't take to him. He annoyed me for sure, glad he didn't get through.

I was surprised that Reed didn't make the top ten. I guess he annoyed too many people.

I'm amazed that jermaine never made the top 24 in the first place and the girl who had the boyfriend who had a stroke was a better singer than many of the blonde bimbo types

Reed was good per love shows and one of my tips to win. He wasn't great on the first show and was outperformed in the sing offs. Jeremy, Deandre and Erika deserved to go through while Adam with his trapped black woman innards sang well. Unfortunately for him, 13 other people sang better

Well I was true to my word as I haven't bothered watching since the only two singers I liked didn't make the series.

Have I missed anything , anybody stepped up their game ?

Any performances I should be uTubeing or are they all as mediocre as I feared ??

No, there have been some excellent performances, but you have to be open minded enough to see past a name and a few minutes of air time to appreciate their potential.. Clearly, you weren't capable of doing that then so I expect that you would take any suggestions with a similar narrow minded attitude.

So I won't bother.

Let's just say the majority that got through are better than the two you named in the first post. Though Reed was quite good and different, must say I was surprised they didn't put him through, actually baffled me at the time. White Chocolate really wasn't good enough though.

Elise performance from the other week of Led Zepplin is a must, one of the best so far, pretty awesome. Phillip is constantly good to great, though it depends if he's your cup of tea or not, his cover of In The Air was very marmite, you'll either love it or hate it, I thought it was great. Avoid Joshua at all costs, the judges have decided to give him an overrated standing ovation on most occasions, for the life of me I have no clue as to why. There's been some great and very good performances overall actually, got the lineup almost spot on I'd say.

I think Joshua gets a standing ovation every week because he is the best singer in the competition followed closely by Jessica. If it was a competition who had the best vocals then it would be a two horse race. The best voice never seems to win American Idol though and America look for a complete package so I would say that Colton and Philip will be the final two.

Joshua isn't even close to being the best singer. Jessica is miles ahead of him and you could argue Elise is also better. Joshua is probably one of the most overrated contestants in recent AI, his sound isn't anywhere near as good as the judges try to make people believe.

And of course as you mentioned, it's total package. I don't see where Joshua fits in what so ever in terms of mainstream music. He's a good singer and that's about it really. It doesn't help that he comes across as quite annoying too. Not a chance he's deserved any of the standing ovations he's been given.

Voice/singing isn't all about who can hit the highest notes or longest notes, just for the record.

My favourite performance has been New York State Of Mind by Erika, but sadly she was eliminated that week in 10th place. As you're a Deandre fan, the bad news in, he went last night too.

Update ....Started watching again after reading a few comments in here and the other guy I mentioned above was kicked off lest week !!

Now I can see that Jessica has an amazing voice and the full package and to a lesser extent Phillip*and maybe Joshua BUT the other 3 or 4 are just DIRE !!!

God knows hiw bad the ones were that I've already missed over the previous weeks !!

Is there only me thinking that they made a big mistake having Reed and Adam in the love shows . Both seem to be mega talented and have personalties .

You're not telling me that any one of Elise *, Holly or Skylar are anywhere as talented as those guys and the long haired dude that got kicked off lasr week !!!
