Why do they keep panning away from the action?? I would like to see the couple who are competing not the audience/panel/etc Please can they just let us see the dancing??
I know, it's awful isn't it! Always just as the skaters are going into a big move, let's look at the ceiling/audience/anywhere aside from what we're meant to be looking!
You would think they would use the dress runs to plan which shots/angles etc to use on the night.
I'd have thought that this far into the series the camera folk would have ironed out any problems they have with angles. It seems not, they're still making simple mistakes and the overhead shots do nothing to enhance the skating.
The camerawork this year is noticeably terrible. The height of dreadfulness for me was yesterday when they were panning to the audience during the boys' team routine so we could admire them all doing the movements for 'YMCA'. Er - I have no interest in what the audience is doing during a routine, thank you! Stick to the action on the rink in a manner we can see what they're doing!!!

I noticed that they had hardly any shots of Andy's face... so it was difficult to tell whether more emotion was emanating... compared to lotsa shots of Jorgia's face... (which admittedly is a damn sight more pretty)... just saying...

Totally agree the camera team are the worst and who wants to see the top of their headsI am iterested in what theie feet are doing.
They do the same on Strictly and the Sport Relief dancing show. If someone has some talent and acting ability you often don't get to see it and I find this very annoying. Methinks it is because directors just want to show how clever and arty they are. Just concentrate on the dancer's skills most of the time, please !
