I have recently purchased an LG 42LK530t television (my first LG tv) and I am extremely pleased with the picture/sound etc; however, TV exhibits an unusual ‘problem’; it prevents my SKY+HD receiver (connected to HDMI1 port) working properly until the TV has been ‘on’ for approx 60-70 seconds from ‘cold’ or ‘stand-by’. The picture from my SKY+HD box appears on the screen almost instantly however the SKY+HD box stops responding to signals from the SKY remote-control (no red-led flash on the front of the SKY+HD box) even if the SKY+HD box has been 'ON' for hours; after 60-seconds the SKY+HD box spring backs into life and performs flawlessly...until the TV is switched off again. In short; switching the TV 'on' stops the SKY+HD box working properly for approx 60secs; - or another view-point... if you just use SKY/Virgin box then this TV effectively has a 60-70 second warm-up period...even if it has been on stand-by.....a bit of a pain and very odd!!
The TV responds to the LG TV remote-control instantly when just watching Freeview and is functioning perfectly within a couple of seconds from switch-on.
The only connection between my SKY+HD box and the LG tv is the HDMI cable; I have another SKY+HD box (multi-room DRX895) that I connected and that exhibits the same ‘problem’; a trawl through some LG tv reviews (Amazon/Reevoo etc) shows that some other models of LG TV’s exhibit this ‘feature’ on VIRGIN boxes as well !!
I am loathe to return the TV as I really like it (apart from the ‘warm-up’), and ‘bang for buck’ it really does punch above its weight.
A few questions guys;

Is this 60-70 second ‘warm-up’ a ‘feature’ (albeit an unwelcome ‘feature’) of some LG TV’s or is it a hard-fault?

Anyone know a fix / work-around / upgrade etc?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
