Now you've dug those out, go one step further & get Andy Gibbs solo albums from around the same time:

Shadow Dancing & After Dark. The Gibb Bros were involved in these albums too, same type of production. Gr8 tracks on both.

Nah, hate the Disco stuff, the early records were much better (IMO).

they did have the tacky tag post `saturday night fever`, which is unfair in a way. like as if they were punished for its huge success. however, to be fair, they did come back time and time again with a big hit eventually. i remember when `paying the price of love` came out and i kind of liked it. however, the vocals were too high in parts and it was totally naff in its time in all honesty. then they released `for whom the bell tolls` and they had another hit against the odds.

Tragedy, Too Much Heaven and Love You Inside Out were the next 3 singles post SFN - by then "Disco Sucks" was in full swing and they lost all momentum

you know what i mean though, it was overexposure and it did make them seem a little naff.

yeah, i saw that on another documentary this weekend on bbc4. i did get your point and agree that didn't help their credibility at all. however, we are talking about the US and the rest of the western world collectively rolled their eyes. i think it was overexposure and perhaps the `death of disco`.

he epitomised everything wrong with 70's 'medalion men'... they were seedy scumbags who notched up sexual conquests and thought they were cool...no they were *****.

full agreement. i detest their disco material, but love their 60's material.
