cant wait to hear the snippets. we already have 3 songs and i heard the original version of `turn up the radio` today. that has potential to be a stand out up-tempo track and of course there is `masterpiece`. its good that people can get a feel for the album before its released.

Well reviewers have complimented Radio more than i thought they would as the snippet didnt interest me before.

But apparently it starts like a ballad then remidns a lot of "get together" and then promises to have beats to break our speakers

I really cannot wait to hear it...I really think it will be an immense release for May/June if they do a video before her tour...film a video for Falling Free soon and release as a main ballad, and film a video for the TUTR for the summer...brilliant!

I'd rather wait than go on that vile piece of filth's website

i heard previous version today, without madonna of course. i think its rather good to be honest. i would say it could prove to be radio friendly.

Yeah i love the Solveig version for his DJ sets...apparently a lot is incorporated into the final version on MDNA I really like the demo so...WAAAY!

And yeah i hate perez, he is everything i hate about the media...but at the same point he promotes promotes promotes and he is a fan too at the end of the day...so a massive over rpomoting mega fan promoting snippets of Madonnas new album will circulate ehr material to his million plus readers and he will have a visitor massive boost too.

yes, its best to see the positives really. i don't ever read his site usually, so it is a benefit for both parties. its all rather exciting to be honest and we still have the ggw video to look forward to as well.

Yes i know...on Tribe they are all (well not all) a fluster because of no promo right now.

Well thinvs are soon gonn kick off...these snippets and the video coming next week i think i read somewhere (qont quote me on it) so it is all headed in a good direction.

I havent been so excited for an album my whole life i can honestly say...and I dont think i will be this scale again this is mega!

drama queens. although, they do have a point and she should pull her finger out in all honesty. however, this is the digital age and promotion has moved forward. i still am hoping for some physical promotion though. i guess a lot of us older fans are set in their ways in that sense, but i do see their point and agree to a degree.

having said that, i have to admit i am talking about this album all the time. playing the new tracks and watching the videos. so it is about seeing the positives and just enjoying what is available.

Part of me thinks that Madonna is "throwing her toys out of the pram".

What do I mean?

Well, she wanted a late April release. She wanted GGW to be the lead single and to do well by spending a long time promoting it. She wanted the album to be released just before the tour. But EVERYTHING happened contrary to what she wanted. She has said NOTHING about MDNA, she has done NOTHING about promoting singles from it. She was technically forced to do Superbowl which hindered everything for her. It is her management and Interscope who have pushed for the 26 March release date. So, I reckon, behind the scenes, Madonna has told guy Oseary to "get on with it!" as she wants nothing to do with promoting it. Madonna is a perfectionist. She likes things so so. She likes to be in control.

This is the first time I can ever remember a new Madonna era where it feels she is NOT in control. I wonder if after her three album deal with Interscope has ended, she will part company with them.

she did that interview with ryan. personally, i think she is pacing herself for the tour and the super bowl knackered her out possibly. lets just hope the music stands on its own, if she doesn't support it with worldwide promotion.

i hope so and it doesn't really matter to me in all honesty. she will still be the biggest selling female artist of all time even if it flops on its a&se! i just want the music to be good and she hasn't really let me down so far.

Do you really think she would throw a tantrum because nothing went as initially planned? It's almost as if she wanted to punish the whole fan community for the stupid action of a zealous one...That'd very twisted of her!??

As I was saying in another thread, think the leak of GMAYL might have a lot to do with the virtual lack of promotion. It totally messed up their strategy. Or it could simply be the case they're using this album as a benchmark to try new ways to promote her music - teaming up with Clear channels to premiere the GMAYL video worldwide, releasing a short clip of her in the studio with M.I.A & Solveig, using Perez Hilton, releasing the lyric video for GGW, Masterpiece being made record of the week on BBC2 etc. It is very unusual indeed on that front but at the same time, the media attention hasn't waned off since the campaign has started. Her singles have been reviewed so far when they were even not officially released and the media keep releasing stories about what the album may sound like - Solveig has been interviewed quite a lot in France on his collaboration with and William Orbit has talked recently about his work on the album as well - so MDNA is pretty much in people's consciousness. It seems rather messy, even amateurish on the surface for somebody who's been in the business as long as she's been. But it is quite intriguing to me and I'm curious to know what impact it is going to have on the album sales in the long run.

This is my theory:
The superbowl was promotion for the tour, which worked because the USA is going crazy for tickets and It has gone quiet since then because she is working on the tour.

I do feel the single releases so far from the album have been chosen because they are the most listener friendly but sadly i have found them slighty mediocre for Madonna standards. I would have much prefered them to have gone with a more edgy song from the album. There has been no promotion from Madonna herself for the singles because I feel it is all about album sales for her and she will come out of the woodwork when the album is released. She is an album and tour artist now, she can not compete with the younger stars for single sales because lets be honest it is a young persons market.

I bet you Gang Bang is left till the last week in the previews. damn and blast!

Well yeah pretty much we all know the album in its first week will sell itself but with promo it will definitely launch it for more casual fans/listeners etc.

Yeah singles wise i dont think she will provide "competition" singles as such for the "need to be number 1" i mean she already has the record anyway for most number 1s for a female artist anyway so its not like she is losing anything...if anything she is gaining with more being added to her top 40 placings

We will see though. But i have such a strong feeling MDNA is an album that is to be sold en masse and singles will just represent it. The album and the tour are the main sellers and at the end of the day they are what she is best at too.

Plus with reviews acclaiming the album already based on the listening parties it should help to really push MDNA out there more too. And with her doing a promo tour (which i hope she does prior and in release week for the album) will really push it out there

And i so need to hear "gang bang" it sounds so intense!

All those who insist Madonna is just an album/tour artist now should consider, that in 2008, Madonna's 12th highest UK selling single with 475,000 copies sold was "4 Minutes".

Just 4 years ago. With the RIGHT promotion and right focus, great achievements can be made.

Girl Gone Wild SHOULD be UK top 3. But if it's not promoted in a widestream manner it will be lucky to get top 20. Interscope Records should NOT be using Madonna to "experiment" on ways to promote her music. Warner did it pretty well prior to Hard Candy. Interscope could have just made one interview pre-recorded, to send to TV channels across the world. This could have been used to promote GGW.

Wild has the potential to be a massive hit! Where is the promo? I do hope it still is...maybe even a chart topper too! Because it is very on trend with Dance music right now so it makes sense for it to be a success with promo, video etc.

It is true because when you think of JUST album/tour artists they didnt have hits for years as single releases...whereas Madonnas last chart topper was almost 4 years ago and her last top 5 smash was in late 2009...so it is stil ldefinitely probable with the right promo she can make it there again

Never say never when it comes to Madonna, she is still the most unpredictable artist alive tbh!

Fair enough guys but TV is not what is going to promote an artist/song massively anymore. Long gone the days when you had regular Music programmes and specials to see your favorite artists, hear something new etc on the main channels. And on channels like MTV, it is clear the target is pretty much young people. Maybe in the US is slightly different as you still Big show like Letterman's and Leno's. But over here, what have you got apart from the X-factor at the end of the year? Virtually nothing - Ross has come back and The Voice is coming soon but that's about it. Now everything seems to be happening online and I wouldn't be surprised that the records company are still figure out how to reach their artist's audiences. It's not a way to justify the lack of promotion for the album but in a way it would make sense Interscope is trying out different avenues. Also let's not forget W.E's promotion has been going for a long overlapping with the launch of the album. Whether it was planned or not, it's been quite a long campaign for this film and it may have complicated things a little for the album's promotion.

P.S - I don't believe she's turned into an album/tour artist. GMAYL is still a worldwide hit - a moderate one maybe but still managed to reach number 1 in a couple of territories, entered the Top 10 in the European Charts, broke into the Top 10 in the Billboard charts. Yes in the UK things have changed for her and perhaps that's why some think she's now an album/tour artist.

By listening to the snippet of "I'm Addicted", I really have high hopes for MDNA.
