Noisy digital audio out producing distorted sound on home theatre, how to fix?
I have a Hitachi Digisender and a Humax VA-FOX both going into a Phillips DVDR70 from scart. This is then sending its signal up through scart to a Hitachi VCR/DVD combi which in turn is dending it all to AV on the TV.
My problem is using the coaxial digital audio out on the DVDR70 though the 5:1 sound does come throuhg indicated by the home theatre, when you skip chapters or press play initially, there is a strange distortion sound. When the chapters changes naturally when playing it doesnt make this sound btw. I cant understand this interference. When i use the coaxial digital audio out on the Hitachi DVD player it seems to produce the 5:1 sound fine and doesnt make any noise when pressing play or manually switching tracks. I have the DVDR70 audio controls set to Digital Audio - All and 5:1 is certainly coming through indicated by the subwoofer display. So does anyone have any solution to this problem?. What is causing this noisy distortion when pressing play or changing chapter?. |
