Some people don't like Katherine as they say she has poor vocal technique and can't sing which amazes me, now I can't sing - think strangled cat. It comes across as personal dislike of her, some people are quite vehement saying she is fake.

I like her and think she can sing and dance, her and Mark are my favourites. I do think seeing her past interviews pre DWTS and how she is portrayed now on DWTS there is some difference. That's why I said something last week about how she is coming across, don't know whether she has been advised to appeal to Americans and be more humble and self deprecating etc. Perhaps she has been advised this will get her further?? As an American edy how do you think she is coming across to the American public?

Thing is she is talented so she doesn't need to hide her light under a bushel. Mark said he needs for her to become aggressive next week for the paso and that's just not her, he said, she is nice all the time. Think some believe she is too good to be true.

I hope they go far in the competition as they are the best dancers imo. Whether they will win only time will tell, although if the amount of twitpics posted of William by fans are anything to go by he has it in the bag. He literally has pages and pages and pages compared to anyone else.

Yay loved Julianne and Apollo and then Helio they were my favourites Can't see William being as good but think it was the pairings that lit up the dance floor, don't think Cheryl and William look that connected in comparison.

I don't like William,I can't see the attraction and think he's very overrated as a dancer however I can't see him being anywhere near the position where the judges can vote him off. The problem with the judges having the final word is that although I think Len would be motivated by saving the best dancer ,Bruno and Carrie Ann would be motivated by whomever was floating their collective boats.

The best dancer can also be seen as quite subjective,the american public may be moved or entertained by the personality of the dancer as much as the steps they can string together.A great technical dancer may leave them cold in conjunction with a perception that they are overmarked. Few people like ringers and from what I've seen on various US forums there are increasing voices saying Katherine is one.Again there may be the perception as Bea Bopp said of UK bias if Len saves Katherine in a dance off situation.Personally I think she is by far the best celeb on the show,she leaves me cold and I don't like Mark but on dancing ability yes she should win.

Also there is a percieved bias (whether it is true or not who knows he is an amazing dancer) towards Derek,would he be saved no matter what because of this?The only situation I can see of that he wouldn't be would be against Katherine/Mark but in that situation I can see the judges heads exploding.

It isn't a weak season so I don't really see why they need to do this,many of those who started a bit shakier are now really improving and I think it will backfire on them,it smacks of manipulation and dishonesty and may result in their ratings falling even further.The nature of the show is that it is decided on the public vote taking that away is wrong however much we may disagree with the results of it when our favourites are booted off

Still thinking it will be Katherine/William in the final with either Maria or Roshon as the third..definitely Maria if the judges have the final say.

If voting is low maybe they are introducing the dance off to boost votes.

I also didn't enjoy it. Maybe it's because I'm a Northerner, but al that tear jerking makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

What happened to miss Hightower? To me she was just one of a long line of pretty blondes on the show, but this season she really stands out.

For me, Len definitely has professional favourites. If Mark had choreographed the floor section in Maria and Derek's Rumba Len would've crucified him, blasting it as raunchy and not needed on a family show. As it was it was a 'little bit of bedroom' and he was pleased with it.

I think there's a bit of needle there - maybe Mark's pushed his luck once too often with some of his choreography but then again I've thought others have as well and Len hasn't remarked on it.

If I get on the grassy knoll I can't help but wonder if the reason they are doing this is because there is a lot of public sentiment of not supporting Derek and Mark, therefore not supporting their partners. I see negative post after post of people not tolerating Mark (or Derek) getting another trophy. So that would put Katherine and Maria at a disadvantage even though the judges like them. Although Cheryl has won before there does not seem the degree of negativity surrounding her the way there is with Derek and Mark.

I think Derek and Mark have a swagger about them which can alienate viewers as well as gain them support. Cheryl is a lot quieter and therefore probably appeals to more people because of it.

It's not, unfortunately. Just have to try and catch up via YouTube etc. Very frustrating for fans this season.

I don't think Derek has ever had a "dud" - that's incredibly unfair to the other professionals.

Mark was given Bristol Palin, so fair play to him for that! Some of his other partners like Kim were good on paper, but no so great in practice.

I would love Derek to get a poor/very average dancer. He does seem to be a good choreographer, but he's never had to choreograph for a crap dancer before.

I am a Derek fan but have to agree that he does get good partners...however I am not sure that they expected Ricki Lake to be as good as she was. I would like to have seen how he got on with someone like Hope Solo or Martina....just to quiet down the complainers.

I rarely see negative mention about her which is really rare, so to say that Im plesantly surprised is an understatement.

That girl is talented so I dont know why some people feel compelled to say that she doesnt know how to sing. The thing is she always says that she is a classical singer not opera singer.From what I have seen of her interviews, the distinction is that as a classical singer you can pretty much sing other ranges or crossover and Opera singers dont like it if she says that she is an Opera singer, go figure.
I think that Levy is overrated and it seems like he doesnt have any personality but you are right he is extremely popular here.So thats Katherine biggest challenge I think.
