Ah . Im totally with you on this Karma A..
And I dont believe the too young argument. At the end of the day its the experience that counts and I believe that he is definetely more experienced than her and he could certainly teaches her a lot of things.
Im loving this, no but seriously I love these 2 and I cant wait to see what they have in stores for us
Ha ha ha, so am I, perhaps perhaps I'm filling in the gaps. I could see her with someone with a higher profile like a Hollywood actor. Bet she has the men chasing her now, saw Cameron Mathison eyeing her up when he was interviewing her, asking what she looked for in a man - I would have said to him preferrably unmarried.

Gosh he is married!, He should back up!
Well who knows whats going to happen anyway? The thing is that even if she gets involved with someone in the US, how is it going to work since she lives primarily in London/Scotland I suppose?
And to be honest, for her own good I dont want her to be caught up in the whole hollywood thing(relationships...) because most of them end up being f""""up anyway. I hope she can just record, make her break here and get the hell out of here. I dont get people's fascination with Hollywood. I think your Celebs live a far more normal life in Europe(England, France.....)
If she gets involved with someone(here) I would like it to be with someone like Mark(very different from her and someone who can keep her on her toes).
I love Gethin, I really do, he is so lovely and its bit sad that their relationship didnt work out but everything with them seem too good to be true, like totally perfect with each other , and it seems a bit too suspect imho ;well what do I know.

It seems like they are pushing the romance angle with Derek and Maria and Jaleel and Kim(even though I dont see the chemistry between the 2 couples)

Think they push the romance angle every year. Maria has a boyfriend of 14 years - Kevin, whom she said she dedicated the rumba too, as well as her parents. She admitted they cut him out of the package before the dance, probably to keep the speculation of a romance with Derek going. She knows how the game works.

Think Katherine gets fed up of being asked about her and Mark, at least she speaks up and says he has a GF. Although I laughed at Sherri when Katherine was asked about Mark and Sherri said his GF wouldn't stop her, ha ha ha, bet she is a real handful with Val in more ways than one.

Thats funny. I like her, I hope she stays a little bit more in the show.

All I can say then is Tony needs his eyes testing! That monstrosity he put Martina in urrrghhhh and Cheryl needs to rethink her costuming she's a gorgeous woman but her choices do nothing for her a lot of the time.
Wow that is exactly what I was going to say especially about Martina - it did her no favours. Some of the dresses worn by Cheryl (does she design her own?!) make her look quite chunky. I didn't like the dress worn by Karina for her Rumba that made her look all stomach - other than that I've liked the dresses. Sometimes the outfits can help with the dances - I can still remember the awful dress worn by Gillian Taylforth for her one and only dance with Anton (pale lemon with two or three huge flowers on it) - I've never forgotten it. It didn't help to keep her in the competition.

But there was no reason for Keven to BE in that package. The year Maria chose was 1988 when she was 10 years old and was NINE years away from meeting Keven (which is how he spells his name, not Kevin). It was about Maria dreaming big while putting found change in the jukebox and watching Madonna's video of Material Girl.

Since Maria purposely didn't watch the package, she mistakenly believed they mentioned dedicating the song to her parents. But that wasn't the case. The story line was simply Maria's own big dreams. It's not like Katherine who lost her father so she dedicated her dance to her father or Sherri who dedicated her dance to her son who was born premature with health issues.

And I don't know that they push the romance angle. Derek said he was going to choreograph a "sweet" rumba until his twitter fans demanded a sexy rumba. So he complied with their wishes. It's not that complicated.

Keven was in the audience one night but Maria said he prefers to stay in the background, and if you read his tweets over the past year - @undergaro - you'll see he has made that clear for a long time. A year ago Keven told Howard Stern he's a background guy, doesn't get photographed, and likes his life. It's in a 4-part interview with both Maria and Keven starting here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuEk89MgscA

Maria told Wendy Williams the same day, "Marriage isn't an important thing to me because we are married, we've been married, we're common law married, so if we want to throw a big party at some point we will" - at the 6:30 mark in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7AIvZXJUfc

Nobody at DWTS is going to try to break that up. That doesn't stop some fans from shipping them as a couple, however.

Hmm I think DWTS as SCD always push a showmance angle whether there is one or not its part of the script occasionaly there is a grain of truth in the push but more often not.The prime candidates each time on the pro front are Derek,Mark and Maks because they are young and have plenty of fairly obsessional fans who will jump in at the drop of a hat and defend them no matter what.
No doubt in future seasons they will add Tristan and Val to this rosta but as they haven't given them partners that they can play that angle with not yet.In the same way either Maks or Mark will generally get a bit narked with stuff and have a blow out. A good celeb plays the game and goes with the flow (in the programme makers minds)at the end of the season just press the reset button and start all over again.

God that sounds very cynical of me but I still love both shows, just take it with a pinch of salt and ignore the manipulation is what I say

Here we go the rumour mill in overdrive! Funny they are saying Derek has the hots for Katherine now, Mark is sitting at the table too!!! Apparently they all hang out for lunch at the same place any way, bet Katherine will get paranoid if she even speaks to a fella now. Think and her and Derek may have met pre DWTS as Cheryl and Katherine know Piers Morgan and can remember reading about one of his parties, so bet they were already acquainted.

Still who am I to knock the rumours, as I was speculating myself.

Katharine has a core of steel. Very few people get that successful without being ruthless.

Absolutely agree. She is totally focused on the prize. Shame she didn't see Geth as a prize or the man she lived with for 5 years before him & split with as soon as marriage was on the table.

What I can't stand is the way she's been milking the split for sympathy - it's a private matter and to go on about it in interviews like she has done while Gethin has as far as I know kept dignified silence over it is really not on. I'm ducking by the way because there seems to be quite a few Katherine admirers on this forum but suffice to say I don't think highly of her - I think she's an overrated singer mostly by herself and her PR and even though she's a good dancer she doesn't do much for me when she dances!

I'm not a regular watcher of DWTS but I've been watching this series on youtube - I like watching Roshan the most - I love his partnership with Chelsie - youthful and fun and a great dancer! - I think he's very underrated by the judges who seem to be falling over themselves to hype up Katherine and William!

I do think she is being very unfair to Gethin in playing the split for a sympathy card.

Katherine leaves me cold I think shes an amazing dancer but I don't actually like her(although I like her more than Mark who I can't stand these days which is a shame as I used to think he was great with Sabrina and Kristi),based on ability she probably should win though.Have to say I prefer a dancer who improves to the level where Katherine is already(hated Gough though and loved Jill and Zoe so that doesn't always go)so far the one I think has improved most is Donald Driver and I hope he keeps that up.Oh and I really don't see why the judges are falling over themselves on William.

Yes I prefer watching the dancers that improve - though having said that I was one of the few that couldn't take to Chris Hollins and probably my favourite contestants ever on SCD were Matt Baker and Kara Tointon - I suppose if you have the right attitude and likeable personality not many will hold being a brilliant dancer from the offset against you and in this series of DWTS I do really like Roshon even though he's been good from the start and seems to have some street dance experience behind him.

I like Donald Driver too - comes across as very likeable and enthusiastic and I don't understand why Gavin was in the bottom two again - he's a nice guy - surely some of his music fans are voting for him - I thought he really improved this week and his rumba was lovely I also really like Gladys - that Irish dancer Tristan she's partnered with really makes me laugh
