I find Jaleel very unlikable & I feel so sorry for Kym.
I found what Anna had to say very telling. |

There is a show called the Soup where they poke fun at all the reality shows and William Levy is staple because of how vapid he is on Univsion channel. He is on a very popular Mexican soap opera .
Here is a sample of what I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84QUElFqwWc |

I love that Anna T. interview. She is very forthright, I like that
![]() .I love interviews like that because I like to hear pros opinions about the performances and the show. Unfortunately, dwts doesnt have a ITT but that will do. Thank you for posting the link .That guy has also some very good observations ![]()

Downloaded and watched the whole show tonight - wow, the best first night ever!! The standard is really high! Am loving Tristan and Gladys, they seem to have a real rapport, but who wouldn't want to have a rapport with him

I think that they partnered him with Cheryl to increase his chances in the competition because he is relatively unknown and Cheryl is very popular. Yeah I dont think that click either.
Cheryl always seems to get the hotties ![]() .I have a soft spot for Maks but Im not really warming up to Melissa. And that Carrie Ann interview, sigh....... Cheryl is doing the best she can with him as she's a true pro but as I said he really should have been given someone taller - however I think any pro would have had the chemistry problem with him - he seems too in love with himself to be able to click with anyone! |

I just finished watching dwts(for the 1st time this season). I usually skipped it and wait until later to watch it on youtube but tonight I actually sat through it
.Well it was ok. I am not really a big fan of "theme week". For the most part, I prefer the normal usual weeks without any crazy whacky choreo. Because imo, theme weeks usually restrict some pros with their choreo;the songs choices are not usually appropriate; and most of the times some dancers find themselves out of their depth. On the other hand , I understand that these theme weeks usually lure the audience and allows us to see some great creativity from the pros. Ok on to the dances: Favourites performances in order: -Donald&Peta Paso: Omg I was cheering on my sofa :great character, great storyline; and what I liked the most was the Choreo(Peta did a great job). 27 top of the leaderboard-Katherine&Mark Paso 24 : I think that it was a very creative, ambitious routine with lots of steps and she was definetely in character but I felt that at times she was a bit lost during the dance. I think that they were slightly undermarked(and she might find herself in the bottom 2 tomorrow). -Chelsee&Roshon 26 . Like in a disney movie:enchanting .Highlights/cringeworthy moments: William messed up his steps ![]() ![]() Donald saying that he was expecting 10's, oh dear ![]() ![]() Im not being insensitive but Maria broke her foot this time(all I can say is that its only week 4 )-At the end of the show they say that Melissa was not there (with the other couples)bc she went to see a doctor ![]() The other performances were forgettable imo. Its hard to predict whos going to be in the bottom 2 tomorrow but Katherine is in danger:2nd performance, middle of the leaderboard, not popular enough. |

First videos. Start from bottom up for performances. Sherri went first after Kiss performance. Someone asked last week about the title intro and yes I noticed for the first there is none.
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0CE4D99D10284287 Scores their final scores for that night. * Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy: 7, 7, 7 (21) * Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas: 8, 8, 8 (24) * Jaleel White and Kym Johnson: 8, 7, 7 (22) * Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 7, 8, 7 (22) * Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd: 9, 9, 9 (27) * Gladys Knight and Tristan McManus: 7, 6, 7 (20) * William Levy and Cheryl Burke: 7, 7, 8 (22) * Roshon Fagan and Chelsie Hightower: 9, 8, 9 (26) * Maria Menounos and Derek Hough: 9, 8, 9 (26) * Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff: 8, 8, 7 (23) |

I just rewatched Katherine's Paso and I loooooooooooooooove it;they suffered being one of the 1st to perfom bc it was slightly undermarked imo.
Full of passion, agression, edgy, with a modern twist.Mark did once again a fantastic job with the choreo. But that girl can dance and those 2 have incredible chemistry on the dancefloor. It has to be my fav. dance of the night for the women. Im amazed because she is just like a different person on the dancefloor:Amazing .I also feel like she is starting to look more confident on the dancefloor

Was the floor dirty this week? Because everyone was throwing their partners across it - Donald did it twice iirc.
Sherri wasn't too bad, but her posture was a bit... iffy same with Gladys.Katherine was undermarked, I thought it was really good apart from the little thing at the end. Jaleel... wasn't very good, too much Jagger-y stuff. Melissa was overmarked, but I hope she's alright. And I couldn't help laugh at Maks falling on his bum ![]() Donald - I think this was his 'moment'! William wasn't bad apart from when he almost dropped Cheryl (and it looked like they were having an argy bargy at the end )Roshon... yeah, not bad! Maria was good, Derek doesn't suit a mohican, and it looked like she was lurching forward to be sick at the end ![]() ![]() Gavin was overmarked too, he was bending over so much I thought he was going to kill Karina! |

Katharine was so busy concentrating on being aggressive she forgot her footwork.
I loved Maria & Derek's Tango. I think Derek is so clever with his choreography. at Mak's trousers. Hope Melissa is ok.Tristan really needs to sort out Gladys's neck but they are getting the difficult dances out of they way early on. I really like Donald & Peta. Gavin is so lovely & is blossoming. Thanks for the link Lili

I'm constantly amazed at how good Gladys looks, and I think Tristan did a good job with a very difficult piece of music - but I could see that Gladys' footwork was not strong enough, so suspect that they may be in the bottom two tomorrow as they had the lowest marks on the night
Haven't seen any of the other dances yet, first thing on Tuesdays I watch Tristan's dance and then vote for him!!

Its so hard to catch up with this when its school holidays, kids wanting the computor pah!
![]() Melissa & Maks-Actually I thought this wasn't too bad, taking into account her flexibility issues. I can't really see how she got concussion and whiplash on this performance though unless it happened in the dress rehearsal but perhaps her broken back came into play here. Also thought Maks fall over would be a bigger deal after reading about it onhere but it was only a tiny slip.OMG those trousers! I thought Maks could pull off any outfit but I was SOOOOO wrong.Am now convinced pros are taking the pee on their costume choicesHow can C-A say its her best so far and yet mark her lower than last week?.Saw Maks wincing as they walked off so think either his knee or ankle is giving him problems again as he's been going to the physio and chiropracter Katherine & Mark - Not as bad as I was expecting, thought she's be way out of her depth on such an aggressive dance but she did good,if anything slightly undermarked. My favourite artist used as the song but the singer was awful.K obviously taking Marks gurning lessons on board well.Mark showboating a bit too much but as a whole I liked it Donald & Peta - LOVED it!.Aggressive, sharp, daring, good choreography. He's coming on so well.Really want to see him in the final he's improved so much.Got the feel of the dance and performed it beautifully,if dances last week got 10's this should have also Roshon & Chelsee- VW seemed a bit out of kilter with all the tango's and PD's but it was lovely and sweet with good movement and he deserved his marks Gavin & Karina- I do associate this song more with a PD but it still works well with a tango.Wish he's ditch the beepin hat as that annoys me trademark or no.again a good improvement, may not be enough as it strikes me his fans don't watch DWTS.Good Choreo from K Gladys & tristan-Oh dear one of the weakest of the night for me.Take off from SCD of Judges BR bit.Bad song for a tango.Gladys weak and floppy,no staccato no tension,Tristan doing all the workand looking gorg.Bottom2? Maria & Derek- No mohawks D they don't suit you. Maria smiling all the way through just annoyed me.I know she has a foot injury but this is a case of not smiling through the pain. She seemed too light to me(more suited to a beautiful ball dance)Didn't feel she pulled off D's choreo very well William & Cheryl -Jive again like VW seemed out of place with the other dances.Heavy footed lost timing, looked unsure and hesitant.Messed up quite a lot.Dull Jaleel & Kym-Jaleel smiled all the way through too, really bugs me in the tango doesn't set the feel at all.hated the ruffle on Kyms dress, would have been lovely without that.Kym giving it all the welly Sherri & Val-Oh god the outfits,Sherri's was awful. Not a tango song for me. Val in pleather..yummmmmm.Noticeable him talking her through the whole dance. Not got strength of body or sharpness of movement and whats with the wriggling in the tango? Based on dancing bottom 2 : Gladys & Sherri Think might be bottom 2 : Gavin & Gladys think may be booted off computor now and back to phone! Sorry for another essay |

Thanks for posting the links and scores Lili - always look forward to hearing from you on a Tuesday morning!
I wasn't half so enthused about Jaleel's performance as the judges - he needs to tuck his bum in (as does Gavin) and Kym seemed to be doing all the work. Katherine did really well, but was wobbly on her feet. IMHO it will do her image good to show that she doesn't find all the dances easy. Derek looked very silly with a mohican. I though Maria was a part-time wrestler - how can she be breaking bones so easily? Am feeling desperately sorry for Gladys and Tristan - Tris especially looked very down as they stood in front of the judges, and Gladys was saying 'ok, ok' as if she was expecting trouble. I wonder if they went wrong? - there was a strange side-to-side shuffle near the end that didn't seem to fit. She's getting better each week but I still think she's concentrating so hard on the steps she forgets her posture. Think it will be Gladys and Jaleel in the bottom two. If there is a dance-off I don't see how the judges can save Gladys, as much as they (and I!) like her.
