After going out with 2 very good dancers I can see where Mark would be worried about Katherine. I would also hate to see her go too early.

Don't know if this has been posted yet but....Mark likes the dance duel (Maks doesn't).

Its not really surprising. They have the jive in case they find themselves in the bottom 2: If Katherine find herself in the bottom 2 she will be better than lets say Melissa for example.

I like Rob's analysis. You can actually tell that he clearly knows what he's talking about and does his research. The same cannot be said about Val;Since he knew that he was going to be interviewed he could have watch a little clip of the dances because he seemed a bit clueless about some of those questions.
Anyway, I love that channel and cannot wait for part 2.

There is a 1 hour special entitled Dance Score Confidential Behind the Scenes of DWTS on next. I don't know if this will make it Youtube or if Codebear uploads. I hope so. It looks to be interesting.

I am watching it now and its very interesting. We get to see a look of what happens behing the scenes:how the choreo works, how they calm each other before each dance... it reminds me of mini episodes of ITT(it takes 2 from strictly)

I love this Motown's week. One thing that I really love was the fact that each couple danced to a song performed by the artist who sang it, now thats neat.
Highlights of the show.
Katherine is my fav. in this competition and she danced once again beautifully her samba but I actually feel that she was a bit overmarked in her samba(maybe by 1 or 2 points).
-Jaleel killed it, omg his chacha was amazing;I was so happy for him and kim. You can tell that they worked really hard this week and like the judges said it paid off;he was actually to schock to speak at his score 29.
-I didnt like Derek choreo for the foxtrot and didnt like their performance at all. I found it boring.
-When I first saw the couples for the dances marathon, Mark had a lime green costume, it hurts my eyes lol now I can see why he probably choose it.It stands out and they were clearly winner and top of the leaderboard tonight.
-Poor Roshan&Chelsie. I actually loove his rumba. I think he danced beautifully and yes he appeared a bit effaminate at times but all the moves were there, they were clearly undermarked. Chelsie was arguing with the judges and defending him, I dont blame her.
-William: Im actually glad that for once Carie A. and Len acknowledged that Cheryl should let him dance and stop parading around him but he still got 27!
Tough to see who will be in the bottom 2 but Im worried that Roshon will find himself in the bottom 2.

I don't know if Gladys' popularity will pull her through because she is such a joy to watch but I think she will be in the bottom 2 along with Roshon.

I don't think I've ever liked a Samba, but Katherine did a good job. She did very well in the marathon considering that was her first Cha Cha.

William must be one of the most overmarked contestants ever. He's an OK dancer.

Maria is finally kind of getting the marks she deserves. Her Foxtrot was overmarked, but I'm glad she didn't do well in the marathon - stiff, stiff, stiff. Her overall score suggests that she could be in danger. Derek has a huge fanbase, so there's next to no chance that she'll be voted out (unfortunately).

I don't think Roshon did very well. A lot of his movements in the Rumba were jerky and horrible.

Gladys - Motown really ruined her Rumba. She may be a legend yadda yadda, but it's time for her to go. I can't imagine that she'll do a good jive if she ends up in the bottom two.

Jaleel - slightly style over substance. There didn't seem to be much Cha Cha content.

Overall, I don't think the theme worked very well. The whole thing seemed kind of forced. Apparently it's classical week next week. Katherine is bound to have a Ballroom dance - the first 30?

Thanks for posting the links (I'd forgotten today was DwtS day, so a nice surprise! )

I liked this theme (don't often say that about theme weeks ) and having Smokey Robinson etc singing live was great.

I also liked the cha cha marathon. Somehow we managed to see more of the dancers than when they've done this on Strictly. Perhaps it's just a bigger floor.

Gladys - she's very charming, but agree with others, this should probably be the end of the road for her and Lovely Tris.

Maria - I didn't like this foxtrot much and their cha cha was dreadful. I think she has (had?) the potential to be a really good dancer but she isn't making progress. Derek's a really good teacher but I'm not enjoying their routines, so perhaps he's just at a loss with her

Roshon - I would have liked to see him dance this in about 5 years from now, because I think he has good skills but he's just too immature to pull this off. (I don't mean he's childish, just that he is a child and it doesn't look right). Thought they were booted too early from the cha cha though.

Katherine - I thought she did well in what's always a difficult dance. Sometimes looked like she was concentrating rather than being in the dance, but very good (not 10s though). Deserved to win the cha cha.

Donald - apart from wearing a horror suit borrowed from a 1970s game show host, I thought he did a great job. I don't think they are ever going to address his posture . Robbed in the cha cha.

Melissa - this was lovely (Maks always does a great VW). Very expressive and pretty (Maks looking hot, too!). I didn't really notice them in the cha cha.

Jaleel - my least favourite dancer, but he definitely had a good night. There was good cha cha, but (not sure what the right description is) he tries to be a bit too 'groovy' and loses the essence of the dance. Should have been second in the marathon. He might be in the bottom two, but I doubt he's going home, unless he's pitched against Katherine or Donald.

William - loathed this rumba. He stood around a bit while Cheryl poll danced round him. I have no clue what the judges are seeing, and how he came second in the cha cha is mind boggling. It depresses me to think he'll probably get to the final based on his alleged sex appeal rather than being a good dancer. I'd rather see Gladys go through for her charm (and Lovely Tris, of course ).

I like the idea of Motown week but am not keen on there being more focus on the performers than the dancing I felt it detracted from the performances

First thoughts whats happened to Smokey Robinsons face?Whats happened to Martha Reeves voice?

Gladys-starting to think every dance of hers looks the same, loving her as a person but she should go now

Maria- overmarked again. Why the skips?looked ridiculous, rubbish arms, weak.Did like her dress though

Roshon-Him doing sexy really doesn't work for me.A bit too hard on some movements but not as bad as he was marked. Was CA caling him out on a foot off the floor? Shes ignored everyone else this season seems a overharsh if so

Katherine-Mark could really gurn for the USA couldn't he?and why has he nicked Gavin's hat?I felt she seemed a tadge stiff in her back and shoulders. My daughter said it was good but not a samba.Certainly one of the better dances of the night but not a 29,possibly a 27 but 10's over the top

Donald-Didn't like his shoulders(seem to have a thing about this this week)arms could have been better, felt he messed up a few times.Plenty of personality. Not his best dance.Would still like to see him in the final

Melissa-best dance yet.Certainly seemed to lose her energy towards the end though.Better in a soft lyricaldance than the fast and furious shes been saddled with so far.Didn't like the green dress. Bravo for her calling out the producers on their edit of Maks though. Maks looking very hot btw yum

Jaleel- - don't like him but Wow,dance of the night for me and actually worthy of its score.Excellent character, looked like the dance it was supposed to

William- Mr overrated as usual.Stiff shoulders and back,a bit leaden in his movements but he can sell sex well.A lot of Cheryl masking his failings..Rumba is a female dance though..still think he's poor

Cha Cha Marathon, thought Jaleel should have won with Donald second and Katherine third. Felt Mark was doing all the work and pulling K around. How William got second is beyond me,he did nothing! Did laugh at Maria & D going out so soon

Val & Anna in pro dance amazing, loved it!

Read that its a double elimination this week..if so I'm thinking probably Gladys and Melissa out although Maria and Roshon could go too, think Jaleel is safe this week

My ideal would be Gladys and Maria going out this week,if only to see the look on Dereks faceMakes me sound like I don't like D but I think its about time he saw how the rest of them have it.I do think Melissa will go though.Hoping for a Donald,Katherine,Roshon finale but I think the judges will do everything they can to get either William or Derek oops sorry Mariain there.

Yes, that would be it. I think it focused too much on former contestants giving them the spotlight but it was interesting. I like the behind the scenes stuff. Any show that is live is a pressure cooker.
