The local buzz on the dwts board is that Maks may be leaving. There is to be an announcement on Good Morning America this morning.

Phew! I really thought Katherine was a goner. Thanks for your posts - I scrolled down one at a time to maintain a bit of tension!
![]() I feel sorry for Melissa and agree she's made a lot of progress, but she's been on borrowed time for a while. The cynic in me thinks the judges played a blinder with their kind comments this week (or perhaps they looked back on last week and realised they'd been harsh... Roshon probably had his best week this week, but he clearly failed, week after week, to connect with the voters, so it was probably time to go. I'd be sorry to see Derek leave - I do really enjoy a lot of what he does, but he causes resentment because he appears to be favoured by the show and gets away with things other pros don't. (And I'd miss carping about how he's the 'chosen one' )

Seriously, though, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not sure he's doing himself too many favours by staying. I'd miss him, for all his failings ![]() (*Waves* to DWTS_Fan - nice to see you here )

I agree DWTS is way too gimmicky, relies too much on props and I do wish it were more elegant keeping in line with true ballroom dance. But I also like the energy and innovation of the show. There have been times that when risky choreo has paid off.
To me the 2 best things to come out of DWTS so far have been the team dances and now this trio idea. Oh and the fact that they had the good sense to hire Tristan. ![]() Quote:

I would not blame him if he decides to leave. I feel this show has treated him very poorly. The judges have been so much harsher to Maksim and Melissa And have been trying to get rid of them since week 1. The video packages are always showing Maksim at his worst never showing anything positive. As a fan of Maksim I have not been happy seeing my favourite pro being humiliated every week and they do this to Maks every season.
Really sad to wake up to the news that they are out was hoping against hope it would be Maria To me it wouldn't be the same show without Maks,I hope he doesn't leave but wouldn't be surprised if he did, with the cyst on his ankle and the way the show has behaved towards him last season,I'm surprised he stuck in there as long has he has. If he leaves I will probably still watch if its on Watch but won't stir myself to check out the programme in these circumstances when we have to scour the internet. Shallow maybe but as I've said before I prefer traditional to showy anydayQuote:

Maks' tweet:
THANK YOU! Words can't explain my gratitude for your support this season. I love you all! It's been an amazing journey, but it's time to move on! He may just mean move on from this season.... |

Katherine and Mark ![]() ![]() ![]() Glad to see how Piers Morgan is so supportive of Katherine. He always tells people to vote on twitter. I liked the fact that Kim Kardashian(with almsot 15 million followers) urged people to vote for Mark and Katherine yesterday ![]() (well also Derek&M).I just like to see that somehow some pros still stay in contact with their former partners and nobody does it best imo than Mark(even if people call him a douchebag) and Maks ![]() To some people who may have forget KK was partnered with Mark Ballas ![]()

Maybe I should feel guilty for laughing ![]() but it looks like they are waiting for their death sentence![]() . At times its a bit funny![]() ![]() ![]() Poor Katherine looked like she was going to throw up though.I must admit I was pretty nervous when I was waiting for the result. I have a conspiracy theory that maybe she wasnt really in "jeopardy" as they said but they put her there so that more people really push her through the final next week ![]()

. When Tom Bergeron told Maria and Melissa that one of them would be in the buttom 2 right after Roshon's elimination it was quite clear that Katherine was safe. But I guess most of the viewers didn't catch up this words ...
I wouldn't be surprised if Katherine had been third from last - I guess we'll find out next week. (She certainly hadn't cottoned on if she really was safe ). I hope we see Katherine and Donald in the final, and although I'd quite like her to win, I think the chance is very, very slim. As for the third place, William and Maria are a bit similar, in my mind. They are both decent enough dancers, but they're both being made to look better than they are by their pros and overrated by the judges. In William's case, I have a suspicion Cheryl has been content to exploit his looks (and her own dancing ability ) - he might have been really good, but I don't think we'll ever find out . I think Derek. on the other hand, has pushed Maria quite hard, but knows her limitations and avoids showing them. Not really bothered which one goes through - whoever performs best next week, I guess.

Thanks for a all the links, felt sorry for Roshon and Melissa, shame they had to go, but as edy said, they ain't going to the gallows are they
Thought it may have been Kath and Mark going, seems it could be a Donald, William and Maria final. I really enjoyed the trios this week, a good twist for once. |

Me too. They sent her into jeopardy right in the beginning of the show and knew that viewers will bite their nails 'till the end of the show 'cause no one expected the best dancer of this season could leave right before the semi final. And then Mark's history with good dancers who got kicked out too early during the last seasons. The best setting for the biggest possible drama this week. They've only told her she would be in jeopardy never that she was in the real buttom 3. When Tom Bergeron told Maria and Melissa that one of them would be in the buttom 2 right after Roshon's elimination it was quite clear that Katherine was safe. But I guess most of the viewers didn't catch up this words ...
On the red carpet said the same thing about them not being in jeopardy. |

I wondered about that, but maybe, after Roshon was out, you could, arguably, still have a (remaining) bottom two.

Interesting to hear, that Mark if he could choose a new gimmick for the show it would be a episode with three new judges. After the last week and last Monday I can understand him ...

If you look at Katharine's Trio vid Mark only pulls at the top of her suit whereas Tris pulls top & bottom.
I wonder if that's why it went wrong? |
