I managed to watch the Kath and Mark's salsa. What is going on - Middle Eastern, Eastern, bellydancing, snake charming salsa yep what a mash up Mark must be hallucinating after working too many hours to come up with that one. No wonder Kath put her back out trying to bellydance and salsa She looked puffy, pale and in pain in her face at the start. Think they are done for Can understand her getting injured like everyone else - overworking the body to the point of dropping, is a recipe for injuries.

I am sure that Katherine will be in the final, despite that awful belly dancing routine. On dancing alone she really should be in the final even though I think the title is Donalds to loose.

I think it was a mistake to have Gethin on her little film bit before the dance, it seemed a bit of a low stunt to me. They spent 4 years not promoting their relationship in the media and then as soon as she wants votes on a reality show that went out the window in order to make her look hard done by. I didnt think that was a very classy move on her part, but I doubt it will do her any harm with the American public.

At least most of the dwts facebook comments and some of the ABC boards are in "majority" crying outrage at Maria's Jive and AT so Maybe Katherine still has a chance but I unfortunately think that she is a goner

Donald will win this thing. The majority of people who watches the show supports him and Im okay with that, he is lovely guy but I think that Katherine deserved to make that final, oh well !

He hits the nail on the head and is voicing what a lot of us have been saying but no one takes a blind bit of notice, a thought provoking article.

I've finally watched Maria's dances and I'm not sure what to say....

Derek does his job well. She has busted feet and he protected her and them well with his choreo, but.....

I liked the AT, she looked fabulous and I thought the teasing part at the beginning was great, but it was very slow and deliberate. I don't know if it was a rehash of his one with Nicole (will have to look back at some point), but I felt Derek was doing the majority of the work. It was worth 3 9s for me.

The Jive. Harrumph! . As a stage dance and a cute performance, I liked it, but good grief!! Could he have made a jive any slower, unbouncy and unflicky? And so much in hold as per usual. In a semi-final performance, surely a degree of difficulty and the full 'vocabulary' of the dance should be on display to warrant 10s. Shame on the judges - max of 8s from me.

Donald and Peta waltz - liked the outfits, Peta's foot came off the ground at the time when the smoke machine went into overdrive. Could see in training Donald is still flat footed and a bit pigeon toed, but a nice routine nevertheless, from the start point of a non dancer he has done really well.

Donalds' backstory was hard, good he turned it round. Think he was surprisingly stiff hipped in the samba.

I've never voted on DWTS before but joined up today and voted, don't know whether it will make a difference but every little helps.

Maria and Derek AT, good routine by Derek, Maria, needs to be sharper in her leg movements and is heavy limbed, but Derek manages to make her look good in the circumstances with all her injuries. 10's!!! don't make me laugh!!!

Derek looks absolutely cream crackered in rehearsals, don't think doing so many dances crammed together and overtaining does any of them good, and think something is lost in the performances when they are all so run down.

The jive - lol at jump starting Maria's heart, got to be the slowest jive ever, thought I was watching in slow-mo, she is heavy footed, think injury and fatigue have taken their toll.

William and Cheryl - Tango, loved the music, outfits and liked the choreography but Willy's lower legs struggling to be controlled and he looked worried through some of the dance, his technique and footwork not great but not a bad routine overall.

Bruno a 10 beggars belief.

William had a harsh life, so well done him for overcoming that. The samba - lol had he borrowed Derek's white trousers they were a tad tight Not a bad routine but not a wow one either, still the crowd and CA and Bruno in ecstasy if not me, even Len lol with his comment. Think William will be in the final. It was a fun dance though and at least music and dance in keeping but 10's all round no way.

One thing that I will take this season is Mark's beautiful chemistry/partnership with Katherine .This has truly been the highlight for me this season;they couldnt have been more different but worked so well together .
I feel like I was watching the Mark of Kristi, Shawn... all over again . Or Maybe he just matured a lot more
Because the general consensus was that he went a little bit "darker" (whatever that means lol )last seasons and thats why most of the time people didnt actually vote for him and his partners.
No comment on Derek lol except that I understand a little bit more the frustration of Maks, Tony, ....

Hi Edy - I agree with what you're saying here, and, although I'm not sure I'd describe Mark and Kath's chemistry as beautiful, I do think they're a really good partnership and it seems to be one of mutual respect. He's come across as so much less arrogant this season and I wonder if it's partly because he admire's K and knows she's his equal (but in her own field).....or, as you say, he may just have grown up a bit

Yes I think Donald will probably have a large fanbase in America and will get through so probably doesn't need my vote........just thought it would be useful to sign up in case I wanted to vote in future series and would have been good if I could have voted for Roshon whose now gone I've tried logging in with my email but the site just won't let me register for some reason.

By the way as some might know I'm definitely not a fan of Katherine and I'm quite annoyed that she mentioned Gethin again but am I the only one who enjoyed her and Mark's belly dancing salsa well until the bit that went wrong at the end - I think it's something a bit different and fun when they include different dance styles into the ballroom and Latin dances.........maybe it's just me... I loved Derek and Maria's Bollywood Samba too

Topaz, I agree with you. Gethin is a lovely man and doesn't deserve to be talked about like that. There was no need to bring the subject up at all. I don't think she has done herself any favours.

I wonder if Derek feels some guilt at times, when he clearly knows that he was overscored/or got scores that he didnt deserve He has been in this show for a long time, so he should know.

Its an insult to the likes of Nicole, Jennifer... to classify that AT yesterday as a 30 dance,well imo anyway.
Even Katherine's AT this season didnt get a perfect score!
I really feel like they are giving perfect scores at dwts like candies, seriously.
At strictly to get a 30 is a very tough, tough thing to do.
And William's samba: deserved a 28 or 29 but not 30.
