Donny Osmond has been raving on twitter about Katherine and I also note that a lot of Maria's fans are also on team K-Mark.
So Maybe there is still hope, or Not?
I have this feeling that he will be in the All-Stars Season.

He has a lot, I mean lot of fans so it will be challenging for other contestants to win.

In the two-hour Season Finale on TUESDAY, MAY 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), the excitement will continue with a stunning opening number with the entire cast and the Troupe. Tuesday night, all of this season's eliminated couples will return to the ballroom to perform some of the most memorable routines, as well as a few new surprises, including a special musical performance from Grammy® Award-winning Gladys Knight, who will accompany a dance performance. Grammy® Award-winning superstar Kelly Clarkson will also light up the ballroom singing a medley of her hit songs "Dark Side" and "Stronger," accompanied by Kym Johnson, Tony Dovolani, Anna Trebunskaya, Tristan MacManus and the Troupe. And in the final element of the competition on Tuesday, the three finalists perform a new routine in our "24 Hour Challenge" - in which they will have had 24 hours to pair their dance style of choice to music given to them after Monday night's show. This routine will be scored out of 30 and will round out the judges' scores across both nights.

Ok no matter what happens, Katherine is the true winner of this competition (imo) because her main objectif was to be known in the US and not only she accomplished that goal but she also gained a lot of fans . Mark also went to his old back self so thats a win for him too and he gives him more chances of winning for a 3rd time one day f course the cherry on the top of the cake will be the mirrorball but its not going to happen.
Peta is a lucky, lucky lady:2nd time and she wins;I would have been more happy for her win if I liked her as choreographer(Im not completely sold with her choreo) and Im little peeved because there are other pros who have been in the show for 10,9,8 seasons and never won(Maks,Anna...)
I think that her Freestyle with Donald is a little bit overrated :She did a lot in the routine and he was just standing and swinging her around for a couple of times:Oh well it was a crowd pleaser so the fact that it had a little to do with dancing is kind of insignificant.
I know I sound like a moaner lol, but thankfully I was not a die-hard fan of any of the couples tonight otherwise I would have been massively disappointed because my fav. didnt win lol!
I actually like them all
Im actually predicting what its going to happen so dont think that the winner has already been announced!

William and Cheryl does a salsa. Well I loved this - real salsa music and to me a real salsa. The judges loved it.

Scores: 10-10-10.

Katherine and Mark do a jive to splish splash. Len says she is the complete package, Carrie Ann says they raised the bar for the season and Bruno says she is one of the best celebs on DWTS.

Score 10-10-10.

Donald and Peta do a cha cha.

Carrie Ann says Donald is the one to beat.

Len says we have had many footballers over the season and Donald is the best.

Bruno said he took the comments on board and and improved every week.

Scores: 10-10-10.

Well at least Willy came 3rd , pleasantly surprised with that.
This was truly a great season and congrats to all the dancers.
Katherine wuz robbed but she didnt stand any chance with DD army of fans.Well done to her for being 2nd thats quite an achievement.

Awww I will miss Dwts but thankfully there are a lot of events this summer: Euros, Olympics dames, Us Open... to keep me entertained till my Strictly and dwts fix

One of the things that I love about Dwts is that we get to see an after show party, interviews, ....unfortunately we dont get that at strictly:its brutal once its over is over.

No actually I was told that there was no need for spoilers as I used them earlier in the season for eliminations.
Ah, ok

Totally happy with the outcome......they all deserved to be in the final. I was never a fan of William, so my pick was between Katherine and Donald......I am thrilled for Peta, her first mirrorball Mark and Cheryl have won before Such a good season, very tight, and that makes it all the more enjoyable....

Thanks to everyone who has posted links, news etc. Have loved popping in from time to time....

We can all relax now, cannot wait for SCD

Take care everyone....

Tom did say it was the closest they had ever had so I imagine a very small margin between the two of them. Donald picked up momentum towards the end of the season and ran with it.

#2 position is very respectable and often times #2 is the best dancer, just not the overall popularity vote.

Although I agree with Len that of the footballers who have done the show Donald is one of the best.

I hope Katherine has pleasant memories of this experience. She will do a whirlwind of publicity for the next few days. .

Keys points to win the mirrorball trophy
1-If you peaked early you have to make sure to stay consistent throughout the competition or only dipped halfway not right at the end, you dont want to do that:case in point with Katherine:she started to be "not so consistent" after week 8.
2-Ideal way to start is to have a decent score then peak at the right moment meaning during the last weeks of the competition .: Progress is all about progress
Donald is a very good example because his tango was his turning point. I would say Nicole also because her AT week 9 was truly the talk of the season.
3-I dont know why some contestants get so excited to get a perfect score(yes its nice to be rewarded for a good routine). I have been really angry in the past because some of my favs contestants produced outstanding routines that didnt give them a perfect score but you have to know that sometimes there are blessing in disguise:meaning that someone doesnt always get a perfect score because he/she deserves it(Maria,Willy,DD final chacha....). And sometimes its better to not have a perfect score until the final or semi-final.
4-Personality, fanbase,... are really important. The ideal case scenario will be the contestant who has the best personality and who is the best dancer wins but it doesnt always turns out like that.
5-Lastly Freestly, freestyle! I cannot emphasized enough how important this round is(just ask Gilles or Mel B.) . It doesn't matter if you have been the best dancer/consistent throughout the competition , if your FT sucks you lose:It really is very important at Dwts, I dont think it has that much weigh at strictly in the final deciding factor.

Thanks so much for putting the results up. You have totally ruined my day!
WHY DIDN"T YOU DO A SPOILER??????????
This was far the best series yet and I thought the last three were a whisper away from eachother , looking forward to watching the show when it came online on ABC on demand and BOOM.

I apologise to anyone who wanted spoilers.

In the beginning of the season I started putting eliminations in spoilers and this is what was posted to me.

Just wondering if its necessary to use spoilers as its not being shown on UK TV and the US have already seen it?Happy to abide by the majority of course(a query not a criticism I love this thread and all the wonderful work Lili & co are doing getting the info to us)
I don't think we need spoilers.
Fair point. I won't bother to look for the results show on YT myself so I'm happy to lose the spoilers, but there may be some who'd like to watch it without knowing the result. Perhaps we should use spoilers for the first day???
After that I stopped using spoilers and that seemed to be what was agreed upon as no more comments about why I was putting the elimination in spoiler tags nor anyone requesting spoilers.

I would have done whatever the majority agreed upon especially those who prefer spoiler tags.
