Derek and Mark have been given a lot of chances; I don't think it's fair that some of the pros haven't had a fair shot.

Evan was quite good, but nothing special. His Latin was subpar.

But whether its unfair or not you have to know that some celebs request the pros.

I know that Lil kim, nicole, Ricki, Maria, Jennifer, Shawn,... requested the Golden Boys (Derek and Mark)
So if a celeb says that the only way they are going to do the show is to dance with this "particular pro" what is the TPTB going to do
But to be fair Mark had his shares of "duds" Bristol, Kim K, Shannen even Kristin....

What I am more interested to see is how these 2 are going to be paired up with their celebs for the All Stars Season. And the more I hear about this All Stars season the less excited I am.

That's true. I can't blame them for requesting Derek, as he is certainly a talented choreographer. Mark's unconventional choreography annoys me sometimes - what was Katherine's VW about

I don't know if I'd describe Shannen as a dud; I think Mark's choreography was too ambitious, but she coped quite well considering she was starting from scratch. However good they were, it's obvious that most of the good contestants (particularly the female celebs) have not started from scratch.

Personally, I'll count Maria as a dud. She was a good looking dud, but she would have been pretty crap had Derek not moved her around like a marionette. Some nice shapes doesn't equal good dancing! The Cha Cha marathon showed how much rhythm she had.

I hope the celebs get to learn new dances for the All Stars season. I'm not sure how good it's going to be either.

I do somewhat share your frustrations - I still want to know why the Strictly producers have gifted Aliona Vilani with young fit contenders for three years running - she's never been given a really challenging contestant! Even in her first year - Rav was a good prospect on paper and it was only through her own selfishness that she didn't do a better job with him! I really can't believe that celeb agents are requesting her for their celebs as a pro partner!

I believe Evan was exceptional at ballroom and probably in any other year of DWTS he might have won but he and Anna were up against the might of Nicole (a trained dancer) and Derek.

It is hard to take when you have a favourite pro and you see them getting duds or being unlucky while other pros are rewarded year after year with the cream of the crop but the criteria for matching pros and celebs in either the UK or US shows has rarely been fair!

Yes, Aliona has had an easy ride, as has Artem. Holly wasn't great, but she was the best girl on paper.

Nicole should never have been allowed on the show in the first place; the PCD were as much about dancing as singing, so that was desperately unfair. I don't mind some dance training, but there should be limits.

I find it unfair those comparisos of Nicole as ringer. Yes she had some kind of dance experience but why is that there is not too much outrage about people like:
- Sabrina Ryan(who starred in musicals, dance videos in Disney movies, who had to learn choreographies...):
-Stacy Keibler
-Kelly Monaco
-Mya who took dance classes as a child, had music videos and was even teaching choreos in a studio; imo she had even more experience than Nicole who is till persecuted because of her dance experience.
-Erin Andrews who took ballet lessons
-Katherine Jenkins
-What about Donny Osmond
-Romeo..
-Oh and Jennifer Grey
I am by no means a Nicole S. fan but Im just trying to put things into a perspective here.
I dont why some people are still bitter about her win and keep bringing her dance experience. Yes she had some kind of experience but to my knowledge just because you can shake your booty lol or just because you are good hip-dancer or whatever doesnt necessarily means that you will be great at ballroom and latin dances .

For me there has only been one real ringer and that was Mýa.

In the entertainment industry it would be hard to find celebs who don't have some dance training, but for me Mýa's dance background was far too strong and way over the acceptable 'line'.

She'd not only taught dance, but considered herself a choreographer and this stood out like a sore thumb in the way she tried to dominate Dmitry's choreography. She was an amazing dancer, but she shouldn't have been on DWTS.

Its amazing how a dance show can make you dislike or like some people :
Before the dance show , I liked Maria M. I thought she was a great interviewer but after this show my opinion drastically changed and not in a positive way .Same thing with Hope Solo:Her and her Maks brought out the worst in each other.
After this this show , I liked Nancy Grace, Bristol Palin (believe me I cant really stand her mom and her political views but I find it unfair that she was persecuted/and still is persecuted because of who her mom is;you dont choose your parent plus I thought that she was a sweet girl:Her relationship with Mark was probably one of my fav of out of his partners she comes a close second after Shawn J.). Yes I even kind of liked Kate G. as well lol

I watched that season and as much as I like them both individually and supported them the whole way through. I feel that their chemistry was forced:like lets just get along because we are possibly going to be in this show for 3 months and we have to get along;and I was cringing when the producers try to push the romance angle. Yes maybe Dmitry was possibly interested but it doesnt seem like she liked him too much:hey what do I know?
All I know is if she were to return for the All Stars Season, they should pair her up with another pro not Dmitry, it wouldnt work .
And I dont know why there is so much outrage about Nicole and not enough about Mya. Is it because Nicole was in a popular girl's band group or that people didnt like her, or that she won, or maybe because she was partnered with Derek?? I dont know

Do you know, I think if she did come back she could win it! She was SO competitive and did know a lot about what would look good or work (I don't mean from from a Ballroom aspect), that no matter who she was partnered with she could win. Imagine if she was with Maks! Although they should be paired as they were originally, which throws up the problems of pros with multiple wins.

If all the previous champions took part it would be hard to choose who I'd like to win. Mmm that needs some thought.

I watched the whole of the results show and apart from Donald's feestyle - the other highlight of the show for me was Roshan and Chelsie's freestyle - I just loved it.

I'm going to sound a bit hypcritical here after what I said about Katherine's fans moaning that she didn't win but to me if anyone was robbed it was Roshon! He shouldn't have been in the bottom 2 so many times and he should have made it to the finals or at least the semis as he was a better dancer than William and Maria - I would have placed him 3rd overall - but I suppose there's no use moaning as these shows are never fair!

Well I love Roshon and Chelsea and I felt so bad for them because they were always in the bottom 2 but at the end of the day this show is a popularity contest so if you dont get the votes, you wont go far, simple as that .

The more I hear about this All Stars Season, the less excited I get simply because for me the partnership/chemistry is very important in this show;Im a little bit afraid that TPTB are going to split my fav. parings . If this is going to happen then I will prefer that they dont come back
