I don't think she could win it even if they asked her back, which I can't really see them doing. They know who the audience pleasers were, and weren't.

She came across as cold and distant and maybe just a tad superior and was not really that likeable.

Yes Peta looks great as always - I've got serious body envy - I get that whenever I see a great dancer's body If it's true about Damian's dad not sure he should be getting involved in this - Mak doesn't seem the sort of person you should mess with

Damian has been busy of late on Australian DWTS - he's partnered with Danielle Spencer aka Russell Crowe's wife - I came across the vids by accident on youtube - I actually recognised Damien first and not Danielle Spencer I was going to start a thread on it but not sure how many people on here watch the Australian version - it's quite a fun, quirky show - though not a patch on the US or UK shows - Mel B is seriously annoying though

Yes only caught glimpses of the Australian DWTS of late and did ask 'sunshine' what it was like and we had a bit of a discussion on it earlier on in this forum and asked the differences between each country. Watched all the Ozzy dancers to start with - a few duffers in the mix, but as it should be, can tell they had no dancing background lol. Seems like Danielle and Damian are the ones to beat, haven't watched the last few weeks, so wondered if Rusty Crowe has shown his face?

Yes I too thought Damian was maybe gay, so surprised to hear he and Peta were a couple. Maybe there was an overlap between Damian - Peta - Maks, and that's why his Dad got in on the act?

I only started watching out of interest for Damien and because I was having withdrawal symtoms with US DWTS nearing it's end! I've watched most of Danielle's dances - should catch up and see if any more have been added but all the vids I saw I couldn't see Crowe in the audience - I think the presenter would be having kittens if he was I'm sure I saw an article on him in DM and I think he's globe trotting around the world publicising his latest film....perhaps he'll make an appearance if she gets to the finals! He's been name dropped quite often though - not always Danielle's fault because often the presenter gets her to talk about him similar to when Pamela Stephenson was on SCD and talked a lot about Billy Conolly ....I know she's famous in her own right in Australia so is there any need for the name dropping so often? It does seem like she and her family are like Australian show biz royalty! I'll have a look at the vids of some of the other competitors so I can compare but although Danielle is quite good - I get the feeling the judges are treating her with kid gloves a bit - they are being critical but I get the feeling they'd be even more so if she wasn't so famous. Also some of the music choices were a bit strange 'When Doves Cry' for a cha cha and 'Alejendro' for a samba - 'Somebody that I used to know' for a foxtrot - those songs weren't suitable for those dances IMHO!

I'll catch up with her vids because I want to see if she improved! From what I've seen of the show - I'm generally impressed with the judges - they can be harsh but they give constructive criticism - doesn't seem to be the same level of pantomime and ego matches as in the US and UK judging panels.

Could be some overlap between Peta, Damien and Mak but even if that's the case I still think D's dad should stay out of it.

I hadnt seen this, thank you for posting it. I thought Roshon and Chelsie's partnership was superb and was a bit baffled he didnt make it to the finals. Chelsie really worked on his elegance and got him to a good standard in the ballroom, and their latin was great to watch, my favourite is the samba which had the "michael jackson" influence. Glad I wasnt the only Roshon fan!

I enjoyed Chelsie and Roshon too, their freestyle was very good and overlooked. Think he suffered because of his physique compared to Donald and William that lots were gushing over. He is slim and think his limbs looked gangly however he danced, even Chelsie said they were like noodles. He looked like he tamed them towards the end of the comp and shame he went out when he did. In the end they turned into a good partnership - in the beginning Roshon was quite a 'me' person, not a 'we' person in other words, self absorbed in some instances, and Chelsie said on a couple of occasions what about me. Probably to do with his age and his job where he has been the focus, so perhaps didn't find it as easy to be a partnership. Think some picked up on that and may have worked against him. Shame really because he was a better dancer than some that stayed longer, just goes to show dance training doesn't always work in your favour then.

Just watched the jive, gawd it was hilariously bad, thought she was trying to do irish dancing at one point lol. The lifts were awful, her partner was a tad pigeon toed too, not good, would love CRH to critique that - disasteeeeeeeeeeeeer.

I think it would have been a much different story for Roshon if he had waited for a few years. He didn't deserve to be in the bottom two so much, but his immaturity shone through. He had the body of a boy and another few years might have changed that, as well as his attitude.

William and Maria were often rewarded for the way they looked; sometimes they looked good, even when their technique was crap. Not very fair.

Brilliant! Scores 1, 3 and 4!!! Poor girl . One thing in her favour though - they did attempt more jive steps than Maria and Derek to the same music (shame she didn't pull them off! )

This just reinforces again how Derek is a very good choreographer and teacher. I mean to be able to actually convince people that what he and Maria did was a briilant jive?

Btw why is everyone saying that Mel B is so awful as a host? I don't watch the show , so I would like to know.Is it maybe because Australians don't get her sense of humor or her in your face personality? what is it?

I don't know about Australians and didn't watch the season she was on DWTS so can't comment about that, but just watching her as a TV interviewer turned me off, both her in-your-face personality and her two-faced backstabbing. I found her coarse, classless and unkind.

I've only just heard about KJ doing DWTS and this is the first time I've seen her dance.
That was a very average jive. Very poor kicks and flicks. She would be slaughtered by our judges in the UK for that attempt.

I wasn't impressed by any of the final dances. Have a look at her first Jive in week 2 though.

You really have to watch her week 2 jive, which was amazing imo. I just think that after working so hard for many weeks and having to do the jive in the final she was pretty much exhausted (I bet Willy and Donald were too )so that jive wasn't as sharp as her previous one but it was still good

I agree. Carrie Ann said Katherine had the best flicks and kicks (and legs) of ANY celeb she can recall.

And two dances a week took a terrible toll on all of them at the end. Plus they were expected to do all the media promotions and other time-wasting commitments.

I always thought Katherine was the best and should win, and while I didn't vote for Donald, part of my heart wanted him to win just because he'd been a fan since Season 1 and had such a winning personality and wanted so much to win. Have to give credit for Peta for pulling it out. I was afraid William's female admirers would put him on top even though he is a very nice guy, a good dancer, and any one of them would have made a credible champion.

That's exactly the reasons I can't stand Mel B! I also missed that season of DWTS - though did see some clips on youtube but whenever I've seen her interviewd she mostly comes across as a crass, vulgar person and I couldn't stand the Spice Girls either - another triumpth of hype over substance! I think some Australians can't take to her because they don't understand her accent but even with me understanding it - from the clips I've seen she mostly looks bored and disinterested in the contestants - I'm sure some Australians are wondering why they didn't use a talented home grown presenter who'd have shown more passion for the job!


Good to see another Roshan fan My favourite dances were the samba you mentioned, QS and the freestyle I posted.

Unfortunately as others have said I think Roshan and Chelsie were the victims of the judges sensing that William and Maria were popular and therefore bigging them up. Such a pity because they were getting really positive comments at the start but then the judges became more picky with Roshon while overlooking glaring flaws with Maria and William

I hope young Chelsie gets another contender whose popular so that she has a good shot at the MB - she's a great little dancer and comes across as a lovely person

Roshon and Chelsie were awesome and underscored. I have learned, however, that Len can be unusually (and unfairly, imo) tough on young guys after praising them initially. He did the same to others, Mario B in particular. So I knew the first week there was very little hope for a Roshon and Chelsie win.

And I agree, Chelsie is a delightful person and great little dancer and choreographer and I'd love to see her get a contender.

Kath has wasted away, hardly recognised her, she is very slim.
