Ok I know this should probably be in the music section of the forum but I’ve posted here because I’m looking for the obscure, not the obvious.

I’m putting a playlist together for my phone. I have very eclectic tastes in music but rather then just downloading all the old classics I want to root out those forgotten masterpieces. You know the ones I mean. When you hear them you go “OMG I’d completely forgotten about that song”

Some Examples

The Gun - Race with the devil

Elastica - Connection

The Specials - Ghost Town

Nazerath - Love Hurts

Donna Summer - I Feel Love

The Knack - My Sheronna

As I said, very eclectic and not for any particular era or genre.

So…What are your obscure forgotten classics just have to be part of your play list?

Not obscure, forgotten in terms of astist or track but in terms of being considered classics. I bet they're not in your play list

Nice choices

Now add these 2 great tubes.

Love this thread - searching for loads of people's suggestions on Spotify. My choices would be:

The Breeders - Cannonball
Hue and Cry - The Labour of Love
The Primitives - Crash
Cameo - Word Up
There is literally not a playlist on this earth, that is not improved by Cameo's Word Up. Even if it otherwise consists of Handel or Shostakovitch.
