Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem troubleshooting how to achieve the following, basically I want the sound from sky hd to be fed through my home cinema system and be able to view the pictures too.

Here is where I am up to :

I have bought an LG televison, model no: 47LW450U (proudct here : http://www.lg.com/uk/tv-audio-video/...v-47LW450U.jsp ) and an LG home cinema system (built in blu ray), model no HX806SH which doesn't exist on LG's website (produce here : http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/lg-hx80...49153-pdt.html )

Set the two systems up and upgraded to Sky HD.

Connections in place are :

TV HDMI slot 1 to Sky HDMI slot
TV HDMI slot 2 to Home Cinema HDMI slot
Sky optical out to Home Cinema optical in.

The problem I am having is that if I select input HDMI 1 on my television, this gives me the picture from Sky but with the sound from the television only.
If I select HDMI 2 on my televison, I receive the Blu Ray menu screen, choose Input of Optical In and receive the sound from Sky but no picture.

Now how do I achieve both the sound and picture at the same time utilising the home cinema system please?

Thanks for any help, will be greatly appreciated.

You need to have the TV sound set to zero.

Have you enabled Dolby in the sound settings on the Sky box?

You should be able to test the Sky sound with the TV turned off.

Great TV by the way, I have one too!!

Cheers Derek,

Can't believe it was that simple, "bangs head on the wall", spend hours trying to sync it now but fine for sport, the cricket sound was spot on then.
