Anyone had issues backing up to iCloud since updating to iOS 5.1?

My 4S backed up as normal earlier tonight, before I updated it... but ever since I installed 5.1, it just won't backup to iCloud. The wheel spins, the bar doesn't move, and the estimated time remaining doesn't give a time.

EDIT: Scratch that. Just tried again...Finally worked, but took a lot longer than normal.

I did the whole update via iTunes so just let it do its thing.

Is it better to upgrade via iTunes or on the phone or doesn't it make any difference?

Well I did find it quite weird but obviously it probably costs them nought.
I heard mention that Apple is contracted (to pay possibly?) to Google Maps till April.

I don't think it makes a difference. Dead easy via the phone

I have turned off notifications and my battery life has improved greatly. You also need to do the following regularly:- double click home button, you will see all the apps running along the bottom of the screen, touch them and a - sign comes up touch that and the app will go, but only on the hidden bottom bar, if you don't do this I understand the apps keep on running and therefore using up the battery. Obviously get rid of all the running apps.

Still waiting to download 5.1. I must remember to turn off windows firewall and also nod32 whilst doing this or else it will not download as I am with Virgin. Yet another itune irritation .

I'm with Virgin and both me and my mrs had the file downloaded in about 20 secs. We do have 100mb but it downloaded just fine.

I updated from 4.3.5 yesterday (had to wait for 5.1 for reasons I won't go into as they're rather boring) and I downloaded it using iTunes and Virgin Media without any issues.

Anyway, if you already have 5.0 or 5.0.1, you can do the update over the air without even using iTunes.

Can't believe they haven't fixed the one thing I would have really liked them to fix. The bug with Due Dates in Reminders. Its so frustrating that it all works so well, apart from the inconsistencies between Reminders, iCal and iCloud.

The apps in the background are only using up memory, they won't drain the battery unless they are doing something such as playing music.

Mine went straight from 4.3.5 to 5.1. Has yours not done that? iTunes should have downloaded the latest iOS update.

Connect to your router via an address with your browser with 192.168.0.1 and connect via the username and password provided by sky. From there you can change DNS servers, try unblockus for example which is:

Primary - 128.122.23.22
Secondary - 128.122.23.23

Hope that helps.
