New Ipad A5X chip 4 times faster than tegra 3 Claim Apple
http://www.slashgear.com/apple-ipad-...ra-3-07217299/
Really??? Wait until we get the benchmarks before making such claims. Apparently the regular A5 chip is faster than tegra 3 according to those charts. The things they would have you believe to sell you their product. I smell rotten apples. |

I know the A5 outperforms the Tegra 2 in benchmarks (same CPU as the Tegra 2, but a superior GPU), but I'd be surprised if it also outperformed the Tegra 3.
The A5X? Hmm. Perhaps. Apple is only stating graphical performance is faster, not everything is faster. As you say, wait for the benchmarks... |

Loads of stuff can be 4 times faster if you pick and choose what you claim.
Also, if you suddenly include hardware acceleration for something new like WebM then 100X faster can be the order of the day. |

Until there are legit independent benchmarks nVidia are disputing Apple's claim. http://i.tuaw.com/2012/03/08/nvidia-...tperforms-teg/

There is no actual claim to dispute.
Apple referenced 'nothing' and when they do it will be something legit like 'well the bandwidth is 4 times greater'. The ambiguity is what makes great mantra. Just look at Retina. |

Apple's little bar chart mentions 'Graphics Performance' - There are industry standard benchmarks for gauging that, surely raw figures will be made available by someone out there soon enough. Although AnandTech's preliminary review is interesting. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5663/a...new-apple-ipad

Doesn't really matter as long as it feels responsive, and apple seems to get this part done.

64 MADs per clock is impressive. |
