I really enjoyed last nights episode. Funny in places and loved the scene at the end.

Didn't miss Langston in the slightest. I really didn't like him.

I don't watch all episodes of all CSIs, just catch the odd one every now and again.

Quite enjoyed the new character played byTed Danson, he really seems to be shaking things up!

The Haskell thing took over the show too much for me. I'd have liked to have seen more Langston with that weight off his shoulders.

I'm not sure about the new boss but it has only been one ep.

And thanks for this thread - too much chit-chat in the other.

I liked the new episode. I'm glad Ray is gone, the show is much lighter now. This was the shot in the arm that CSI needed.
Apart from Catherine's rant at the end which was a bit silly.

Ted looks like he will be an interesting character, quirky and fun yet still intelligent and perceptive. I will keep watching (which I doubt I would have if Ray was still putting a downer on the show).

I think we should have seen more of the Chinese gal and her octopussy.

Loved the first episode!

Yes...the mind boggles.....octopus.....bathtub...

I think he is going to be great, love the quirkiness. Love the touch with his initials being DB.

I like the Danson character but I've been underwhelmed by both stories so far. And I really hate having kids shot and killed as part of a plot. Yes, I know it's a "reasonable" event in some circumstances but I hate it being dwelt on. And this killing was a dwelt on a bit too lovingly.

And gods, Catherine's face gets more frozen each series. She must spend the whole of the series break having treatments.

I liked this episode. The story was interesting, different from the usual. no famous person who you can tell is the killer straight away. Most cop shows these days you can spot the killer too easily. Criminal minds has basically given up hiding the killer and shows him from the start.

Love Ted Danson in this, when he says 'come on family', to the others.

Good plot, there not being one obvious killer.

Criminal Minds isn't meant to be a whodunnit though, the clue is in the name.

I think Danson's character has brought something to CSI which it has been lacking. CSI: Vegas has always been the more serious CSI of the three shows, but Danson's character brings a little quirk to the team.

I'm liking Danson in the role, we needed a change of scene. I'm still not entirely certain on the character, chummy one minute and throwing his weight around in the next. His rant at Nick last week seemed out of character (although the "you will" [do it again] softened the nagging a bit).

Really wanted the breakfast scene to be in there. We're shown a random explosive argument and then we're not allowed to see the fallout?

Loved Danson in Cheers, loved him in Becker, and loving him in CSI.

What a brilliant piece of casting. The DB character is sooo much better than Fishburne's character. I had even got to the point of not worrying if I missed an episode.

Now I look forward to it every week. Even Catherine has respect for him even though he has come in to replace her as boss.

He can be tough, funny and efficient, but above all fair.

Loving it. Can't wait until next week's episode.

It took me 3 eps but I think Danson is great.
I'm afraid I guessed the 'twist' - I watch too much of this type of program!!
I am glad that I don't get this in HD as I reckon Catherine would have been quite scarey during the close-ups with Danson.

I'm loving Ted Danson too. My problem with Langston was that even though he was ranked lower than the other CSIs, it was difficult for me to take him as anything other than Grissoms replacement. The stories tended to revolve around him too, and he seemed to take over the show at times.

From the moment DB arrived it was clearly pointed out who is boss, but he doesn't play up to it. He seems much more team orientated and his humour really lightens up the show.

I've recently re-watched all my CSI DVDs and Sara has changed so much for the better. Ever since her Season 10 return she has become one of my favourite characters.

I though Tuesdays episode was brilliant and could easily stand up against some of the earlier Grissom episodes.

So did I... but I didn't mind. The individual plots and characters all work so well together. Love Sarah. In the epast, she often didn't get the scripts to showcase her, I thought - I've always preferred her to Willows.

I have to say, the addition of Ted Danson was a good move. He brings a bit of humour and quirkiness that was missing in the previous season.

Only just caught up with the latest episode, and have to say that the new character played byTed Danson is really making me want to watch every week, whereas before I used to just catch it now and then if there was nothing else on.

I agree re Langston, if he had been brought in as the boss that would have been fine but he acted like he was in charge most of the time and the stories really seemed to revolve arounf him which really grated with me.

The new Russell character is a breath of fresh air and although I was initially sorry to hear of Catherine's departure I can see how this will work and hopefully move the show forward.

I am loving Ted Danson and his inter-action with the other members of staff.
