Doubt it, but there's a few months before it launches so you never know. I suspect it has been added now to capture people retuning for London DSO (although they could have left it another couple of weeks)

I assume it will be timesharing with Film4 until it launches? Then maybe Film4 goes to HD leaving the slot for 4seven? Funny it's being labelled 4seven now even though More4+2 will be starting in its place.

DMOL only show it's on post DSO implying it may take some Big Deal capacity? There is of course plenty of vacant capacity on Arq A as well. A mystery movie from Channel 4.

ps looks like pre-DSO is being treated by commercial TV like analogue teletext was. No Longer Interested!

Confirmation that More4+2 is coming soon to freeview thanks Ray C.
...as a holding channel on 16 April, before being converted into 4seven for what is expected to be a June launch...The time-shifted channel will be on air for just a few hours a day. No decision has been made as yet about how many hours 4seven will broadcast daily...C4 will also acquire a Freeview slot for the new channel, which will be a mixture of C4’s highest rating programmes and those that trigger wider discussions.

lt looks like we'll be getting a couple of months of More4+2 before 4seven launches. I will see how things work out but l probably won't be overly impressed because it was only a few years ago that the C4 group were still doing engaging dramas and good documentaries - just where did Equinox go?

So tonight when I switched on our Freeview TV (on the Oxford transmitter) it found "4seven" as a new channel - I don't know yet what programmes are on it, but that looks like an imminent launch to me?

On satellite More 4+2 has been observed testing on the C4 HD transponder. All the signs are that 4seven will launch in the summer preceded by More 4+2 as a holding channel as the media have reported. The label will remain as 4seven regardless of content.

If it launches in summer, than surely on the 4th July....

That hasn't appeared on my TV or PVR after I rescanned them this morning after phase one of Crystal Palace DSO.

I've never seen an EPG entry so far in advance before. I only found it because my Icecrypt box jumps to the first entry it finds for a channel when you advance, which I think is unusual, maybe Humax do that too. Vestel EPG won't go past the 13th.

Oh I see the entry is also on "Now and Next" but you don't know what day it refers to really.

4 seven

I am in Nottingham and 4 seven has appeared inthe 800's. This implies one transmitter is already broadcasting. I assume it is probably Sutton Coldfield. I pick up from Nottingham but nothing showing here. Is this normal. Any responses appreciated

4seven is just a caption at the moment from all post-switchover transmitters, and nothing else. I can confirm that the caption is broadcasting from Sutton Coldfield. Receiving something in the 800s implies receiving a signal from a second transmitter, e.g Nottingham+Sutton Coldfield.

In Devon it is on channel 47 but they switched over ages ago. Still have to wait for complete analogue switch off back near Croydon.

More4+2, the placeholder for 4seven, has been added on satellite. More4+2 hours might indicate 4seven intended broadcast hours :
Monday - Thursday (no schedules for Friday night-Sunday night)
0745pm-0850pm Programme 1 (More4+2 has Relocation Relocation)
0850pm-0955pm Programme 2 (More4+2 has Come Dine with Me)
0955pm-1100pm Programme 3 (More4+2 has Grand Design)
With the day's programming ending @ 11pm enables 4seven to timeshare with an adult channel on the Big Deal stream.

It's more likely that 3 hours per day of More4+2 is the minimum time on a 24/7 stream to keep a $ky EPG listing active before 4seven launches in the summer.
