How to clear...

I've got a HTC Desire HD and each time I connect it to my laptop to transfer photo's the import window shows there are over 8000 photos to transfer.
After looking through these photo's most are photo's that I have just view on my phones internet browser or old photo's I have deleted.
How do I remove these files from my phone? I've cleared the cache and history, taken out the battery, sim & SD card but still showing up on transfer. Anyone got and ideas?

There are a couple of ways I would tackle this.

Firstly, connect the phone to a PC, and then search the phones SD card for files with a jpg (or any picture format) extension. Then simply delete if you no longer want them.

The other option is to run the gallary app, that should show all pictures per album. Then simply delete the album with the pics that you no longer want.

Hopefully one (if not both) of those two methods should work.

That's the thing, they don't show up when I search through my phone. Only appear on the import window when I connect through disc drive to pc

Another thing you can try. Go to settings=>applications=>manage applications. Select your browser from the list. Press the "clear cache" button that appears.

BTW what browser are you using?
