Afternoon all
Data seems to be down in Colchester (CO4).
Any one else having problems today?

Hi,

We're currently experiencing an issue with our data service. It is not location specific and will affect users whether they are on Orange or roaming on T-Mobile. Currently we have no ETA for a fix. Please only call 150 for other queries at the moment as CSR's have no further info at this time. Should I get any further info I'll be happy to advise on here if it helps.

Thanks.

Yup, was on the phone to them as everyone in my office was moaning about having no signal.

Seems to be a national outage - and the girl I spoke to advised me it would be sorted 'within 24 to 48 hours' - if it's gonna be that length of time I'll be wanting 2 days' worth of line rental back then please!

Thanks plymouthbloke1974

Hopefully it will be sorted sooner rather then later

If you've lost signal altogether then that's a separate issue to the topic subject. That may indeed take a few days to resolve I'm afraid. Depends on the nature of the fault....

A few days is pretty shocking to be honest!

I would hope orange would
A) communicate the outage and resumption to its users by text.B) compensate its users for the outage (maybe some freebies as a sweetener)

Some people rely on data for their business!

Whilst a presence on digital spy is commendable its not formal communication!

I think plymouth was referring to jbrowns entire loss of signal which isn't part of this issue - I don't think that loss of data for the entire network would be allowed to run on for a few days.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the 'solar storm' that was expected to disrupt things?

Looks like it has just come back for me in Reading.

It was down earlier and I have just looked and the 3G data symbol reappeared on the phone within a couple of seconds. Wonder how long for though...

As a general question I believe I have to switch on roaming to allow hot switching between orange and T-Mobile data but do I need to add in T-Mobile apns?

I'm on a galaxy nexus ......

Pleased to advise that data sessions are returning to normal. If you are still having issues, turn off your device for 30 secs and retry.

Thanks

Last time my phone switched to a T-mobile mast it said T-mobile on the screen where Orange normally is.

Mind you I've only seen it do it once or maybe twice though.

When I last tried it about 1pm I could not connect to the internet. Glad I'm not the only one having problems. Have not checked it since though.

I lost data earlier too, I'm in Essex, so did my mate on Orange, I then forced mine onto T-Mobile and got H+ back, I always had signal, I just lost the H when I was in the orange network.

I had no data for about 45 mins (on orange), then it was back. there was an outage like this for a short ammount of time a few weeks ago on Orange and I was affected (in Essex) - weird :/ maybe its hiccups in their systems cos I know they are doing some network upgrades (like HSPA+ and stuff).
