Verity shouldn't have gone!
She was fantastic on Saturday night and improved a lot from the week before when she gave an average performance. If she had stayed, I'm sure every week she would've got better and better....

the only reason Verity went was because Louis has got the poor confused Sharon wrapped round his little finger!

Sharon and Louis will always side against Simon and ruin what was a potentially very good show.

To be fair she wasn't the worst this week....that accolade goes to both VWS and 2 To Go. But she was the weakest last week and was lucky to survive then. I do hope she does have a future in her singing career. I think there's an audience out there for her. Plus, she's a very nice lady.

I was merely stating that we hear things differently and a lot of people on these forums think 2 to Go were bad yet you try and turn it into a personal issue. What makes it that you are right and I am wrong - we are all entitled to our own opinions and to state them. |

I respect people all have thier own personal opinnions, but I think alot of people here are judging them by their persoanlities rather than how they sound.
I mean jesus scientists would find more evidence that 2togo sound more pleasant than that foghorn rowetta than there is for the earth revolving around the sun. |

She deserved to go; she’s not a strong enough singer.

It's strangely perverse, that in the week where she did much better, and IMO didnt perform the worst of the bunch, that sympathy vote doesnt come out, and she ends up in the bottom two and ends up going home. Don't you think?
Hats off to her to be honest, after getting slated from all quarters last week, (including me, and deservedly so), she found the confidence to do much better this week. A brave performance. |

i personally think sharon made the right decision because 2 to go are way more talented than Verity. Basically Verity was chosen more i think because of her image more than her voice.
2 to go are vocally more superior and it was the right decision imo. Having said that the ballad thing is getting abit cheesy. But definate bonus points for the piano playing. Considering the visual imparement you have to praise the piano playing. |

I'm with Rubes on this one.
Mewling kitten,YES!! I knew she reminded me of something. 2 to Go were/are Butlins Skeggie act,and back to thread, like Humper I too thought Auntie Vee much improved. I still think neither 2 to Go nor Auntie Vee should've been within a country mile and three quarters of the Final 9. If one looks through The Stage newspaper there are small ads from groups like 2 to go who make a reasonable living on the small provincial cabaret circuit...IMHO this is 2 to Go's market,NOT XF. What's more, most of 'em are WAY better than mewling martha and matey on the piano. PIV sings "Welcome Home" by P+L.

I thought 2TG were absoulutely dreadful, like some Opportunity Knocks act from the 70's or 80's
VWS were also weak IMO and very lucky not to be in the bottom two. G4, I think will start to struggle as the weeks go by. I thought their arrangement of "Don't Look Back in Anger" - one of my favourite songs of all time - was odd to say the least. Verity on the other hand knocked all of those into a cocked hat this week |

I am glad she has gone, she may have been better this week but she is not a star and I can't see her being on top of the pops , would you want her in your CD collection??

What's the point of X factor then? Surely it's so the winner can be given a contract and have a hit record?? And then they are more likely to be on TOTP! |

If Simon's 24-and over wins, then NO I don't think TOTP is their market. I see the 24-over market as strictly album sales, and the music channels "heavy rotation" Little Tabitha's group is the TOTP group IMO,and I shudder to think about Louis The Leps group...2 to Go on TOTP?yeah right Louis!!!! "Welcome home...welllll...come,come on in and close the door"
