Is it fair that Sharon and Louis are ganging up on Simon?
I wanted to know if you thought it was fair that Louis and Sharon are ganging up on Simon. To be fair, Ive agreed with everything simon has said, and he hasnt been unfair on the performers, he has given propper constructive critism unlike Louis! What does everyone else think? Also does anyone ever really agree with Louis when he really says the most stupid things?!

Unfortunatly one person does Sharon, he's using her against Simon and she can't see that he will sell her down the river as soon as possible

Simon is the only judge who is giving honest, fair critiques and sooner or later people are going to realise what the other two are up to and take against them and side with Simon. I hope so as Steve is my favourite and Louis and (esp) Sharon have been very unfair in their comments.

It isn't right the way they are pairing up. Ok if they don't like simon - fair enough... but in siding together and ganging up the way they are, it is making it very unfair for simons performers.

did the audience vote last night for the judge they felt had performed best? I know sharon won last week, but i can't recall seeing it this week - if it happened, who won?

thank you, i wondered if it was me just being scatty. Last week there was such an emphasis on it being a competition between the judges as well as contestants, i assumed it was going to be a regular feature of the show. Maybe they're trying to contain the sniping rather than add fuel to the fire?

Probably got rid of it in case Simon won, and that's not allowed obviously.
It seemed a very anti-Louis crowd this week, finally, after last week people are seeing what he's really about. VWS got a bad reaction from some people in the crowd too, whenever they were on - after their performance, they were really heckled and then after they got through too. God knows who those people were. But, yeah, the whole thing is starting to piss me off. Simon rarely gets a chance to finish (something that always happened on American Idol too) and they're hypocritical quickly accusing Simon of picking on their artists and making it personal yet they (mainly Louis) are even quicker to trash his artists. Last week, Louis was so desperate to put down Steve, he didn't even take a breath, it all came out in a 'nehnehnehnehneh' childish way. To me, Simon is honest and gives constructive critisism, he usually ends up being right more often than he's wrong, and he'll heap praise on the other acts if he feels they deserved it. Take G4, he's normally a big fan but this week they didn't meet expectations, and he said so. Nothing wrong with that, just proves he's more honest with his opinions than others. I took great pleasure over 2 To Go/G4 being in the last three up there, after Louis had told Simon 'the public will prove you wrong with this act' and so on. Guess the public went with Simon. |

This is totally unfair I think! Louis mentioned earlier about it being about the contestants and not the judges, and now what does he go and do, makes it soley about the judges. I think that this is total rubbish. Simon has done nothing but try to promote his people the best way he can and to give fair critiques of the other people. Tough if sharon and louis dont like it.
If I was a contestant, I would be right mad about this whole thing because now it is like everyone will be voting for to get Simons contestants gone. I sure hope that doesnt happen. I just hope that the public will ignore all this slagging from Sharon and Louis and pick the best contestant and if it happens to be Rowetta or steve, so be it, if not, great, i hope the best person wins. |

well i sure hope it has begun. I am sick and tired of simon being attacked from both sides, when all he is doing is his job, and doing it professionally, without being racist or crass (sharon) and without just taking sides and saying he is gonna vote to get simon out, no matter the contestants talent or performance(louis)
ridiculous!!! utterly ridiculous!!! |

I am not so sure that it's not all rehearsed. How can I accept Simon Cowell has a serious judge of talent when he thought that Michelle Mcmanus was so good. ( He also chose Gareth gates over Will Young )

Simon isnt a Saint. He loves this pretend feud. Louis and Simon have worked together for years with Westlife and have known each other for a long time. Its great publicity for the show. Its his show. He makes all the important decisions including how the show is edited. At the end of the series the winning act will belong to his record label.Yes - he would prefer if one act from his own group wins the contest but its not that important to him.

A number of people will end up with Simons record label at the end of this. Rowetta, Verity, Steve, Tabby, VWS and Cassie all have their niche markets and could end up with a 'one album, one single' deal. If they work then great, more deals to come, if not then bye bye.
Actually this is a cheap way of doing A&R for BMG, get a fan base together and have a 'known' when their records are released ! (BTW G4 are no match for Il Divo, 2 to Go just ain't recording material IMHO. ) |

Childish & unprofessional judges Sharon & her lap dog ( & I don't mean minnie) know that Simon has got very strong chance of winning this with Rowetta & Steve on his team and because they both like Rowetta they focus on Steve and even more so now that Verity's gone , because they know that Steve has also got a strong following based on that fact that he's always on the top 3 results & I'm quite sure they read & hear all media publicity about Steve being very popular amongst female population young and old.

Presumably it won't matter for a while - Louis is looking at having two of his acts in the bottom two next week, so Sharon may have to pick one of them. Interestingly, all his acts have been in the bottom 3 so far.
It's a funny kind of morality that says it's cheating to have a choir instead of the backing track, but it's perfectly fine to vote people out just because they're in Simon's team. I don't think Mr Walsh thinks of other people as people at all -what a user. |

Namely 2 to go and VWS
I was upset too, I mean did you notice Steve's quivering chin, like he was about to cry, and I think he did, in a gentlemany way and wiped quickly a bit of a tear on his left eye.

I think that this whole set up (for that IS what it is), is about making the GBP think that this time round, the judges are SO powerful and the only way to keep your fav in is to vote like hell to keep them out of the bottom two.
It is that simple. However, it is making Louis look like a [select derogatory comment of your choice]. Sharon is all over the place with it all. Simon just looks like Little Boy Bullied. I don't believe it. Never mind Shaz and Si....what about Louis and Si? They got on far too well at the auditions to suddenly be arch enemies. FFS, Pooey Louis can't even insult properly without looking like a 10 year old whose head has been pushed down the school toilet. |

and wanted to pick somone who broke the mould. As for his support of Gareth, get over it, Will triumphed and Simon was grossly unfair to him as he will now admit. Like me, he thought Gareth had the X factor when he first saw him but as soon as he stopped listening to him he dropped him. Now I happen to like Will now he isn;t perfroming bad soul covers but I happen to respect Gareth very much and don't believe SC's support did him any favours at all, hence your post

I don't think it is unfair to Simon - he can look after himself. I do think it is unfair on his acts, who must realise the minute they land in the bottom two they are definitely gone, however well they performed in the sing off.

Steve is also terrible. he had the single worst performance in week 1 and simon got him the sympathy vote. He had a bad performance week 2 and simon masked it with the choir...he'll probably have a bad performance week 3 but Simons had him and Rowetta on every show their is on ITV begging the public to vote for his bad artists. Louis and Sharon ganging up on him is the least he deserves. Personally I'd like G4 to give him a kickin |

[/quote]Off topic but; I do wonder why these 'fully-fledged opera singers' ( ) would need to mime. I worked for English National Opera for 10 years as a member of the children's chorus and, in that time, (a LOT of rehearsals) I never saw a singer mime. Mark, yes (marking is singing in a 'half' voice), if they had a big performance and were saving their voices.Wonder what Il Divo are saving themselves for? As for the Il Divo - G4 comparison, please, they couldn't be more different. |
