2000AD (thread)
New thread for discussion of 2000AD progs and the Judge Dredd Megazine.
2000AD prog 1773 features... The best ever episode of Nikolai Dante. Truly shocking! (shocking in a good way, not bad). 10 out of 10. This week’s episode of Day of Chaos doesn't feature a credit box. Very unusual for that to happen.

Seems like my suggestion for a Flintcock and Spatchcock spin-off from Dante is now a no-go

From 2000AD on Twitter:
"Exciting news Earthlets, standby for a truly Zarjaz announcement this Friday!!" I think this could be a trailer for the new Dredd film!

False alarm. Whoops.
A new Judge Dredd comic has been announced. It's for the US market. https://twitter.com/#!/chris_ryall/s...49245350023170 The company is called IDW Publishing. There will be a Dredd trailer in the future but I'm not going to make any prediction when it's going to be released. I got caught out this time so not again! ![]() Back to 2000AD - this week's Day of Chaos was quite something. Major trouble for MC-1.

Been back reading 2000AD for a couple of months now. Really enjoying the whole Nikolai Dante sage even though I've probably jumped in far too late. To remedy that I'll be buying up the series in paperback to get myself up to speed.

That's putting it mildly. You've picked the worst time to start reading Nikolai Dante! It ends this year. Two more stories to go. The saga started in 1997 and has appeared in 2000AD on a regular basis apart from the years 2003 to 2005 when the writer, Robbie Morrison, wrote The Authority for DC Comics. Here's the list of the graphic novel reprints: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolai...ected_editions |

I can't reveal it because it's too good. It may spoil the surprise.
But hold on, the wait will be worth it. It's a true classic!!!! |

Used to read 2000AD back in the 70's - 80's is Dredd still dying of cancer?
MY fave were always Nemesis and ABC Warriors. "Spread the word". |

MY fave were always Nemesis and ABC Warriors. "Spread the word". As far as I can remember it hasn't been mentioned since which leaves two options 1. It was removed "off-screen" 2. The cancer is still in him and will form part of a future storyline. |

The cancer was diagnosed as "malignant but operable"

Dredd 'teaser poster' with tagline:
http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/...20GLINE-1b.jpg Dredd is more of an antihero than a conventional superhero but I doubt that would matter to the public. I think the tagline sums up the character: Don't mess with Judge Dredd. ![]() Be interesting to see what the official posters are like. |

It's something a bit different. I think it adds a bit more colour - quite literally! - to the progs. Brendan McCarthy's colouring is great! Very bright reds and blues and yellows.
Zany strips tend to divide opinion. The Balls Brothers, Sooner or Later, Time Flies etc. They got mixed reaction from the fans. |
